Bottle. Pours a clear yellow gold body under a small fizzy white head that left some light lacing. The nose is heavy pale malt with a moderate hop level, smells fairly clean. The flavor is not quite as clean as their Kaiser Pils though. There’s a bit of a sweet white grape like note on the finish that mixes with a light soapy note as well. I really prefer their lighter and more crisp lagers. Some long lingering sweetness and moderate alcohol on the finish. Medium bodied and slightly clingy with a bit of stickiness. Meh, I’d pass on a second go around with this one.

Bottle. Poured a clear amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate balanced aroma. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation.

bottle from sample case, very nice with a good balance of malt and pils, golden color, nice head, step up from regular pilsner with enough hops

A decent beer; very drinkable and light (especially for an 8% beer). Aroma was OK. Light grains, pilsner malt and grass. Pour was a nice clear light gold with a few rising bubbles and a one finger white head. Taste was thin and weak. The grains and grass with straw and sweet light malt were up front but the whole flavor disappeared before the swallow. Light green hoppiness in the background. Light carbonation. Watery and light. Good summertime beer, I guess.

Atom (1281) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 3, 2012
Bomber courtesy of Secret Santa, pours a clear pale golden with a medium white head. Aroma has a musky wheat sweetness, baby powder, grain, and malt. Taste has a malty sweetness, hop spice, grain, and citrus. Not bad, nice flavors in the taste.

Consumed from the bottle as part of a sampler case. Measures up to the name "Imperial" and is a worthy companion to Penn’s excellent Kaiser Pils. Hops are well balanced with a clean and fresh taste.

Draft. Smells of hops and malt. Tastes of wheat and slight pumpkin crispness with a sharp eavy bite. Full bodied. Very good

25th Anniversary Imperial Pilsner (22oz bottle). A golden color with a strong whitish head. Somewhat crisp, certainly light and malty. Strong, with a nice bitter finish.
