A nice dark yellow, whitish cover. Great light malt aroma, sweet, but some grassiness, hay. Taste is a nice hoppiness, fantastic sweet malt underneath. Great pils.

Draught at 4th St pub. Cleat golden with a half finger white head, good retention. Diacetyl dominates the aroma, some pale malt and floral hops following, light pasta. Flavor is lighter on the butter, still some pasta and a tinge of florals. Lightly sweet before the dry finish, bitterness peaking at a 4. Light slick body with light carbonation. Meh.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 crossovert (2547) - Wisconsin, USA - MAR 10, 2011
12 oz twist-off bottle.
It pours a somewhat bland gold, the head is very nice however forming a round white globe around the rim of my pokal.
There is a nice noble hop smell up front, it has a subtle fruitiness and a bakery like malt scent.
The taste is well balanced. It has a noticeable hop character, very nicely done, along with a leveling maltiness. It still seems a bit more hop-forward but it is pretty balanced overall. There is some metallic flavor at the beginning but it fades after the second quaff.
The mouthfeel was pretty spot on for the style, rich in body, but also with a persistent carbonation.
This pilsener is one of the few american examples that isn’t a butchery of the style.

Tap at Barcade. Pours a mostly clear fairly light golden with a thin white head. Aroma is light toast, biscuit, medium on the doughy yeastiness, ok pils, not quite refined or crisp- a little musty and medium to low grassy hops. Flavor is toast, light biscuit, some gritty husk, then some muddled yeasty dough and almost a wheat fullness, med to low hops, and finishes ok, just not all that crisp or clean- a touch muddled. Average- not bad at all, but far from great.

On tap at Fatheads. Transparent gold, thin white head. Light corn and diacetyl nose with a light grassy bitterness for some balance. Flavor has more bitterness, still some sweeter corn and diacetyl but also strong pale malt and hay through the finish. Very dry, well balanced, and rather enjoyable.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 SSKD814 (854) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 8, 2010
A- Light transparent straw yellow body with thin head that disappears quickly. Little lacing is left behind in the glass.
S- Smells of light refreshing hops.
T- Initial taste is somewhat bland. Almost like there is nothing there. Then the hops start to appear. The finish is all hops and a bitter hop aftertaste remains on the palate.
P- Light body and medium carbonation. Not watery.
O- This is a great refreshing brew on a hot summer day. Its very light and refreshingly hoppy. Good summer session beer.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. The aroma is grassy, lemon and sweet honey. The flavor is similar; sweet biscuit, honey, loads of grains. Pretty smooth and clean. Decent.
