gsmitty80 (514), Washington DC, USA Jan 12, 2007 One of the best maibocks i have had. Definantly a comparable seasonal to the oktoberfest and marzan. I liked this alot and recomend Erie brewing companies seasonal maibock if you like this one. mccarthy (7), USA does not count Apr 9, 2006 This is by far the best Maibock you will ever drink. I do not understand the other reviews I have read. I base all of my reviews on beers that I have bought a 1/2 keg of for the house. I do not think it is fair to judge any beer on a couple of glasses or bottles. How can you gage its drink ability? A complicated beer will take time to grow on you. Nate (2234), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 13, 2005 Draught at Penn Brewery. Dull neutral fruits, light sugar, some caramel notes in the malt. A touch of hops. Golden amber clear with a slight haze, and rapidly disspating head. Medium watery body with light-medium carbonation. Starts with cherrywood and mild caramel notes, sweet toasted malts, bit of biscuit. Light vapory notes, sweet throughout. Mild hops that grows a bit more bitter toward the finish. Cherrywood and mild nutty after and touch of sweetness. zach8270 (1404), Henrietta, New York, USA Jun 5, 2004 Updated: Jul 15, 2004(draft @ 10th Annual PA Microbrewers Fest, Pennsylvania Brewing Co. - Pittsburgh, PA) Poured a pale gold with a thin white head. Slightly hoppy aroma with a hint of yeast. Flavor was mostly grainy and biscuity with some hoppy aftertaste. Refreshing and smooth with a nice malty hint. dolemike1 (1105), Owings Mills, Maryland, USA May 11, 2004 Pee colored with a moderate white head, aroma ... not great, some malts, flavor is light , malty ... refreshing on the palate.. but light... ho hum.. ok , drinkable but not great.
