COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A rich, deep golden-colored lager fest bier that is exceptionally smooth and mellow. Uses two-row malted barley and a combination of roasted malts. Highly rated by the National Tasting Institute.

Bottle. Translucent amber body with almost no head. Aroma is grainy with soft corny syrup notes, light grass and soft citrus. Taste is a bit more Euro hop centered while retaining the grains, grass, and soft lemon. Light biscuit notes as well. Body is smooth but rather under-carbonated. Light-medium overall feel to it. Ends with more grains, grass, biscuits, light lemon and a hint of tea.

Bottle: Poured a red-tinged gold color, decently carbonated, with but a thin head. The aroma is kinda starchy and grainy. Likewise, this drinks not unlike a macro lager, a tad corny. This is quite a bit grainier than most festbiers, but drinks very smoothly, even with a bit of a grassy hop bite at the end. (#3169, 11/4/2007)

12oz bottle. Light orange body with a small, loose white head. No lasting power, a meek attempt at lacing. Nose of grass, wet cardboard, grains, citrus and skunk. Flavor is sickly sweet, caramel malts and sweet grains are pretty much all it has to offer. Watery, thin palate. Finish is watery, sweet and over quickly. Not a good beer.

12 oz bottle. Nice copper color with a full white head. Malty aroma, hints of caramel. A lot of malt in the flavor. Very low bitterness. Nice clean smooth finish.

fairly standard aroma for an Octoberfest, malt is prevalent with a hint of sweetness, not overwhelming, not bad

Bottle from Belmont Party. Pours a clear copper hue with a moderate frothy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Good toasted malty aroma. Medium body. Medium well balanced toasted malty flavor with a good sweet finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable beer.

Sampler from bottle at Clifton Beer Fest at Fries Cafe. Light amber/gold color, thin to medium body, usual roasted malt but with a certain refined character that I can’t quite put my finger on but makes the beer interesting. Better than average seasonal offering

Beerlando (3276) - Orlando, Florida, USA - OCT 6, 2007
Clear, medium golden body with high carbonation. Medium, foamy white head that settles to a small film. Random sheets of lacing are scattered about the glass. The aroma shows primarily toasty cereal and bread grains, with hints of caramel and some faint white fruits. The flavor is again toasty and bready, with just a touch of sweet caramel. Mild grassy hops add a bit of balance. Medium body with a slightly astringent aftertaste. This beer is ultra-fresh, but you can tell it would get skunky pretty quickly. It resembles a premium lager moreso than a Oktoberfest, in my opinion. Decent at best.
