Copper/bronze colour; the palate unfortunately does not live up to the chewy-smelling, aromatically malty nose.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 11/20 3fourths (6218) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - AUG 21, 2007
Okay, so this is my first bad O-fest of the season. I know it’s still summer, and it’s 105 degrees somewhere, but up in the northeast it was cold today so it felt like fall. Plus, it’s always best to try beer fresh, so no point in waiting two months for this stuff to turn to bile. On to the rating - I guess I’d say it tastes and smelled like stewed celery and plaster, the kind you seal up a wall holes with... of course there’s also the super sweet caramel corn as well, meaning this is a steawy, sugary mess. Disappointingly thin, nearly watery on the palate. Might go well with waffles, though. I don’t use the 4s enough so I’m going to give it those.

Bottle courtesy of beachbum25. Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells rosey and sweet. Tastes earthy with some spicy hints and some nice sweet malty touches.
