3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a very bright and clear golden color with a one finger head that fades quickly to a thin swirling head and ring. The resulting lacing is thin, and tattered, but sticks well.
Smell; lots of sweet malts with caramel, bread dough and a little sugar. Some mild fruits come through as this warms with some peaches.
Taste; fro the most part the flavor follows the aroma, with caramel, bread dough malts. Then the fruits come out with peaches and and, oddly enough, slightly green bananas. The alcohol is only noticeable as a warming in the back of the throat and in my belly.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, and a little syrupy with a very low/smooth carbonation. The drinkability is pretty high especially with the big alcohol content. Overall this is a decent beer, but not something I would ever seek out again.

Nice new beer from Penn on Tap at Magoos. Golden color, fizzy and quite sweet., not exactly a Belgian Saison, but similar without the Belgian yeast. spicy and fruity just atad too sweet to get the alcohol up.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is a great new release by Penn Brewery. It pours a pale transparent straw yellow with a healthy white head. It has a pretty light smell. The taste is light and wonderful. Smooth malt at the beginning with some light fruit and spice flavoring. Light sweet malt (maybe honey) aftertaste. This beer is very smooth. I had no idea the ABV was this high until I checked it out after I got home. A delicious new addition to the Penn lineup. I recommend trying it.
