COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship brand! An amber Vienna-style lager beer that is smooth, mellow and full bodied, with delicate hop aroma. Uses two-row barley malt and caramel-roasted malt. Based on founder Tom Pastorius' favorite German bier.

poured with a nice head that quickly faded; no lace. Aroma is just sweet bready malt. Hazy amber color. A hint of pilsner in the bite of the beer, but only a hint. almost more like a weisse. Plenty of carbonation, not much finish. This was a gift from friend Paul.

12oz bottle. Aroma: Sweetish grainy malt, light noble hop aroma (spice and earth). Appearance: Dark gold in color and clear. White head was smallish and frothy with decent retention. Fair lacing. Flavor: Grainy malt and slight breadiness, earthy and spicy hops with a touch of floral. A little to sweet. Low bitterness. Medium dry finish. Palate: Light bodied. Medium carbonation. Overall: Not bad. Didn’t realize this was a Vienna when I was drinking it, but it makes sense. To sweet for a real pilsenser, or for a good vienna. A good alternative to BMC.

pretty clean flavor and not much aroma. Some bread and slighly toasted flavors, with a good hop balance. pretty refreshing, but nothing special at all

Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a tiny head that vanishes quickly. Aroma is of barley malts. Taste is malty with hints of grain, barley and yeast. Average for a pilsner. Will never drink this again though.

not a bad "pilsner". not much aroma except a small bit of mint? has a nice burnt gold color, clear and well carbonated. not much head either for a pilsner.( I used a really tall pilsner glass and could barely coax out a weak 16th of an inch head.) could work on the grain bill. not enough balance in malt to hop flavor i.e. too bitter. almost has a rolling rock thing going on in the after taste?I drank a six pack relitivly east though!

UPDATED: NOV 29, 2007 After going through a six pack of this the other night with a few friends I realize how good this beer is. Nice sweet caramel malt taste with just a hint of hoppiness in the aftertaste. Not much, but just enough to balance it out. This is an outstanding Vienna. Better than usual macros. Golden colored with a 3 finger head. Not much aroma or taste- slightly sweet with a hoppy aftertaste but nothing too strong. Original rating: Aroma 6 Appearance 3 Flavor 6 Palate 3 Overall 6

Draught: This one pours a slightly dark, mostly clear golden color. Mine had very little head and only a little bit of lacing. The aroma was a bit lighter. There were some notes of sweetness, otherwise fairly non-descript. The taste was OK. A decent beer, but not a true pilsner. Some malts, a hair bitter. Not a bad session beer, but nothing special.

This pilsner poured a dark cloudy yellow colour with not much of a head even after a vigourous pour. To the nose...slight paint thinner aroma. If you got through that, vinegar, dough and a very small scent of spice. First taste was very mettalic flavoured but after that the malts came through. Slightly bitter to the tongue, a little thick feeling aswell. The palate was hoppy and a little bitter to the end.
