G: Pilsner Urquell pilsener glass.
A: Dark gold with plenty of carbonation and a rather large head. Quite transparent.
S: Pale malts with a field-ish smell. Slightly sweet.
T: Slightly sweet with some grainy flavors. Slight hint of bubble gum. Slight hop presence. Slightly hefeweizen-esque.
M: Very light mouthfeel with minimal carbonation and no alcohol presence. Very smooth.
D: Exceedingly drinkable. Definitely looking forward to these over the summer. Fiancee thinks its "okay."
2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 rubbishystuff (1202) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 30, 2010
Beer of the month club selection. I was not a big fan of this. Bitter but not a pleasant bitter. Why is it called Pilsner when even the brewery says it is a Vienna? Serving: Bottle
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 chicowv (220) - , West Virginia, USA - JUN 9, 2010

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Tricountybeer (132) - Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 15, 2010
Malty - sweet and malty, medium bodied and malty. Finish was sweet and malty, with a little hops. Could’ve used some hops in this - it needs to be crisper and have a cleaner finish
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 SSKD814 (854) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 8, 2010
A- transparent dark yellow body with thin white head that disappears quickly. No lacing left behind in the glass.
S- some malt and light hops.
T- Initial taste is quite malty. This is followed by a light refreshing hop aftertaste. Good but nothing special.
P- Light carbonation and medium weight body. Well done.
O- This was pretty good overall. I’d session it if it was the best choice available. My least favorite of the Penn Brews that I have had so far and it happens to be their flagship. go figure. Its a decent pils but I probably won’t have it again being that I like their other brews so much.
Serving type: on-tap
