3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured from a refrigerated bottle received from weihenheizen. Thanks! Pours a darker than expected gold, on the verge of copper with a steady white head. The aroma is kind of sweet and caramelly with a caramunich quality to it. Taste is somewhat sweet, while remaining mostly inoffensive. Overall, it isn’t bad.

Bottle from DiarmaidBHK - pours a clear old gold with a white head, some lacing. Boring.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Pours a pale amber with some head. Cereal nose with very subdued hops. Coppery taste throughout the bottle detracts from what is otherwise a decent session beer.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Mild pils-ish aroma of crackers and flatbread. Pretty grainy. Light orange, good initial head followed by lace. Tastes sweet in a way where malt is stressed while hops could be used. Given that, it’s certainly more Vienna than pilsener. A good, crisp lighter beer for sessions.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Loved this pilsener/amber. Great sweet scent with a hint of sour that reminded me of sour patch kids. Copper color. Light body with a crisp texture. The taste started sweet then settled into a tortilla corn grain blend.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 ounce bottle - $1.79 at Total Wine & More in Atlanta, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a lightly hazed, golden-amber body with a slim, brief, white head.
Smell: Grainy, doughy nose with aromatic hop notes scented of grated spices.
Taste: Pilsner maltiness rounded with a smooth breadiness and lightly sweet accents. Very subtle fruitiness. Restrained German hop spiciness with just enough bitterness to balance things out. However, the spiciness, alongside the grainy pils quality dials up a bit before the dry finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Served itself well as an aperitif before heating up some sad, old leftovers. Thanks, Penn Pilsner, thank you for that.
