3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Braudog (4473) - Hampton, Virginia, USA - MAR 16, 2008
Bottle: Poured as you’d expect, golden, bubbly and topped with white foam. The aroma is over the top corney, not what I’d hoped for. It drinks with a Germanic smooth hoppiness, riding on a wave of solid biscuity malt. Quite a nice pilsner. Bring on the pizza. (#3344, 3/16/2008)

Bottle. Amber bodied. Small white head. Nose is grainy, grassy, and lemony with floral hops and hints of tea leaves. Taste is biscuity malts, grassy hops, hint of honey, light lemon yeast and grains. Not too bad! Body is medium with a moderate carbonation feel. The finish is more of the biscuit notes, soft lemon and honey, grassy hops, flowers and grains.

Nothing special, but not a bad beer. Poured a little darker than most Pilsners, but still had the grainy nose and taste of Pilsners Medium bodied with a short finish. Pretty much a so-so beer.

Haven’t had tihis beer in a long time. Had a bottle tonight at primantis.Golden color with a faint hop aroma, almost undetectable. Not a bad taste for a pilsner. Went down real smooth.

February 2008. Clear golden color that lacks a bit in hoppiness. Easily smooth and goes down with anything, and won’t ruin your next beer. Definitely a good pilsner for any situation.

12 oz bottle. pours a clear golden color with a well-hopped fresh aroma. Medium body. Very smooth and drinkable upon the palate with no bitter aftertaste. Flavor is typical of a pilsner with a clean taste. Normally im not a fan of light beers but this beer impressed me with aroma, flavor, and palate.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Goodgrief (1608) - Middletown, Delaware, USA - FEB 3, 2008
July 2006 - Ok, by far the best of the 3 Penn beers, not that that is saying much. Good, enjoyable summer brew. Sweet pils tasted like a touch of corn even though the label was touting Reinheitsgebot. Who knows.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 RblWthACoz (963) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - FEB 2, 2008
Pours a cloudy amber with a decent off white head that does not really stick around too long. Nose is a bit woody with a slight perfume to it. Flavor is much more robust than I was expecting. Thick tree character with a stringent sweet edge that has an overall thick caramel tone to it. Feel is smooth on the liquid with a fairly low carbonation. Very drinkable. A very well made brew with a lot of body and character to it. Definitely worth a try.
