I know from first-hand sources that the berries are fresh ---- the pulp clogged the bottling filter lines the first few runs according to my source. Crisp and refreshing, even under the gray skies of Pittsburgh.

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2012 NEW: had again, not quite as good as the first but still pretty good. OLD RATING:Yes, this stuff is a vivid cluster when poured, pink almost gushing foaming little globules in cloudy pour, quite a sight! Clean berry aroma. For taste this stuff almost comes off as a wild yeast. Could almost say this is near lambic, berliner or sour. Tart backbone with a medium pleasannt fruity feel. Very interesting texture on the palate. Very good fine sizzle to the tongue. Much better than most fruit beers. May I say again this brew looks deliteful in the glass when poured, very active an asthetic. Well done, hope they can duplicate this in the next batch.

Hey! I expected ratings for this to be much higher. This is a tasty little weissbier, berried - but not buried - and sweet. Ain’t I funny. Almost no head, the color of fruit punch, plenty of wheaty residual goodness. It’s very enticing to look at. I like it!

I am typically not a fruit beer guy, but this one was delicious! The berry flavor is so fresh and blended perfectly with the hops and malts. Yum!

Transfer from BA review on 11-11-12- Poured from bottle into pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a hazy orange amber color with a two finger white head. The head has a decent level of retention fading to give a lighter level of lacing. Smell – The aroma is of sweet berries and a little bit of biscuit. The fruit is heaviest of a raspberry aroma with some lighter notes of blueberry and strawberry. Sweet and fruity. Taste – The taste starts out of a wheaty and bready flavor mixed with some lighter berry sweetness. The sweetness gets stronger more towards the middle of the taste with the raspberry being he strongest. In the end a yeasty flavor joins the sweet and wheat and leave a lightly sweetened berry flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thinner side with a carbonation that is average to above average. The lighter body is nice for the berry and wheat flavors of the beer with the carbonation level making it quite drinkable. Overall – A refreshing berry brew. Very easy drinking, not too sweet and rather authentic fruit tasting. Not too bad.

I agree with others, interesting pour. It’s worth buying a bottle just for the pour. The aroma was pleasant, light berry. Interesting complexity going on with this brew. Some sour/tart and hints of yeast flavoring. Too much carbonation, looked liked a cherry ginger ale. Small head, but could be compared to a lambic Berliner or sour (good call cheapdark). Worth the try, it was fresh, clean and crisp.

Pinkish purple, whitish cover. Aroma is mixed berries, very sweet. Taste is light caramelized malts, lots of blackberry, raspberry mix. Nice fruit beer.

On tap at a wedding. Pours a dark reddish hue, clear, with a thin tan head. The aroma is mostly sweet berries and some light grain. Quite a surprising flavor with tart fruit alongside more common light berries and earthy malts. Not sure what to make of this, it comes in between a Berliner and a light Hefe with fruit, very good. Lots of wheat.

Pink tinged copper in the glass with pinkish head. Slightly tart berry and grain aroma. Very smooth mouthfeel with a touch of berry sweetness. Nice. Great for the summer.

On tap at the Coney. Light berry aroma, mix of sweet and tart. Light hop note. Red amber hazy with light pink lacing head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Starts medium dry with light tart berry flavor - can’t tell which berry is predominant. Medium bitter finish with fruity tart after. Watery but a nice summer quencher.
