served at NYC Brewtopia. pours cloudy amber-brown with a large, foamy white head. smells of cloves, yeast, bananas, wheat and citrus. tastes of considerable yeast, fruit (especially banana), grass and lemon. some of the flavors are too center stage while others left inconsiderately in the background - so not well balanced flavoring but pretty good. definetely refreshing from the citrus hops and light bubblegum and clove flavoring. smooth all around.

Drank with Stegosaurus and Beereded_one at Newton brew fest. Hazy golden pour. Big white head. Sweat and wheaty aroma. Wheat flavor. Again this company does nothingbad but nothing great either.

Right off I’m going to say this is the most enjoyable American-brewed hefe I"ve ever had. Very true to the tradition! Murky with a thick head. Plenty of bananas in the nose. Bananas in the palate along with wheat and citrus. Nicely done.

Initial possible off aroma, slight banana or something. It has a rememberable flavor, almost like a lager. I just about want to classify this as a typical pale yellow american beer. Same color and flavors but is just a little bit cloudy. Does not compare to franziskaner or other hefes I’ve tasted. Nice fizzy bite with a touch of bitterness on the finish. A little rough when compared to real hefe-weizens or white beers.

Got one bottle while visiting Kara at WVU ’06’. Poured a large white head with aroma of yeast and wheat. Mostly wheat flavor with hint of citrus. I then added alittle lemon and it was very enjoyable.

Cloudy, golden pour from the bottle. Nice, thick head. Not as fruity as other hefeweizens I’ve tried. More yeast and wheat in the flavor. Lots of wheat, actually. Fruit notes: orange mainly, cloves, small spicy qualities. Good mouthfeel, a little heavier than I expected. I was satisfied.

Golden body with a light white head. Yeast and wheat dominate the aroma. Wheaty taste along with a light citrus accent on a malty backbone. Smooth ending.

Slightly hazy orange body with a small white head. Aroma of sweet orange peel, and some banana. Sweet spice flavor, some light banana hints.
