Bottle courtesy of Pat (pjk33). Stylish wheat! Quite authentically German tasting! Lots of banana esters poking around aswell as the mandatory cloves, quite wheaty and soft, tasty stuff indeed, the best American made hefeweizen i can remember having, thanks Pat!

hey, a great hefeweizen, no argument. authentic cloudy orange/tan colour, classic yeasty, zesty nose with more phenols than banana, and a fluffy, grainy, bready flavour with plenty of cloves and a slight saltiness. delicious stuff. i’d love to sink a few half litres of this in a pennsylvanian biergarten. thanks pjk!

Bottle. Pours a cloudy pale orange with a big white pillowy head. Nice estery, orangey nose. Taste is accented by a light carbonation. Nicely sweet and soft with notes of cloves, peach and some sort of red berry. Finish is clean and crisp and slightly sweet....very nice ale. Thanks Pat!

Cloudy gold, thin fluffy white head. Great hefe aromas of clove, banana, bubblegum, and yeast. Well balanced with clove dominating the flavor, banana, light citrus and spice play a small role late. Light to medium bodied, fizzy carbonation, drying wheat, light citrus and spice finish. A very nice hefe for a hot summer day.....

I couldn’t drink this one. too heavy of a yeast flavor. Normally I like a wheat beer but this one really turned me off.

Thanks, pjk33! This weizen is about as close to perfect you’re gonna get this side of Bavaria. Pours cloudy with lots of head, and the palate is scorched by the flavor. No need for a lemon in this bad boy; it’s good enough on it’s own.

Rotten apple-cider, does any PA/NJ brewery make this style well? There needs to be a summit in dem dar Alleghanies to figure this one out by the local brewers. Fast-food restaurant aftertaste. Needs to be much better.

Disappointing. Just didn’t have the FLAVA I was searching for. Just not a very good weizen at all.
