Pours a cloudy golden color with a decent head. Light malty aroma, with a sense of lemon and citrus. Citrus banana taste, with a hint of malt and some caramel. Decent beer. I’d have it again. It gives tastes of bananas and clove, giving this beer a truly unique flavor without over powering the taste buds. I could drink this for quite a while before I would get tired of it. Small aerated head. Smells like hefeweizen yeast with banana-sweet aroma. Light body with a thin and dry finish. Sweet entry. Decent, dry, quaffable, and clean. nobadbeer (4), centerville,, Ohio, USA does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 23, 2008 The characteristics you’d expect in a Barvarian Heffe with a surprise hop kicker at the end; plus, it’s light enough to quaff all evening. In short, very nice. dkachur (2354), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 14, 2008 Interesting pour, the beer is cloudier than most hefe’s. A murky yellow-orange color with a moderately thin white head and bubbly lacing. Bountiful aroma with lots of yeast character giving off scents of spicy clove, lemon, and banana. Solid malt body that is filling, but still on the thin side. Crisp with a watery finish, drinkable to say the least. Flavor is fairly true to the authentic German offerings. Plenty of banana and clove esters. Dry, crisp wheat to couple the heavy yeast flavor. A nice, rich taste all in all. donteatpoop (124), Youngstown, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 11, 2008 A foggy amber color with bits of something dark floating around inside. There was a nice finger of dimpled head resting at the top, great retention and plenty of lacing.
Smells of wheat and grain.
Tasted sweet and almost citrus-like, the yeast taking on a citrus/banana taste.
Very heavy in the mouth but smooth to take down, the carbonation level seemed a little low.
Very drinkable, a solid wheat beer and another great product from Penn.
