COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schwarzbier (shvahrts-beer) is German for "black-beer". Brewed to be a light bodied dark beer with a clean, crisp, refreshing finish. Its well balanced malt character is complimented with a touch of roastiness. Brewed using imported black patent malt and noble hops. Pairs with chunky dark breads, marinated meats such as brisket or German Sauerbraten. Not recommended for cellaring. Serve in a flute or pilsner glass at 45-50deg

From a 1 pt. 6 fl. oz. bottle. It pours a dark brownish-black with littlle or no beige head. It has the look of a smoked porter. Aroma of malts, coffee, cocoa, and hops. Good mouth feel. Taste is malted chocolate with light, fresh hops. A dry finish. A very nice product.

Deep brown beer with a thin white/tan head. Aroma is very chocolatey and quite rich-smelling. A bit earthy and fairly chewy. Soft and chocolatey. Bitter cocoa and a soft well-lagered cleanness on the back. It’s got a more assertive hoppiness than most, but it’s quite nice.

Bottle at Joe’s tasting, drank right after the Black Cat Schwarz. This is not as good. Very vegetal, salty aroma. Mostly dark pour with a small head. Sucrose and veggie flavor, metallic, a bit thin.
