COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schwarzbier (shvahrts-beer) is German for "black-beer". Brewed to be a light bodied dark beer with a clean, crisp, refreshing finish. Its well balanced malt character is complimented with a touch of roastiness. Brewed using imported black patent malt and noble hops. Pairs with chunky dark breads, marinated meats such as brisket or German Sauerbraten. Not recommended for cellaring. Serve in a flute or pilsner glass at 45-50deg

(Bottle) Pours dark brown to black with red hints. The aroma is dry roasted with a light sourish sting. Tones of plums, dark juicy bread, coffee powder and dark chocolate. Bit burned. The flavour is light sweet, light to medium bitter and light sourish. Tones of roast, coffee, dark bread, light caramel and hints of plums. Grassy and light herbal hops in the background. The mouthfeel is dryish and soft. Medium bodied.

From a 1 pt. 6 fl. oz. bottle. It pours a dark brownish-black with littlle or no beige head. It has the look of a smoked porter. Aroma of malts, coffee, cocoa, and hops. Good mouth feel. Taste is malted chocolate with light, fresh hops. A dry finish. A very nice product.

Bottle: Cola appearance with an off white ring for head. Mild coffee roast in the aroma along with cocoa. Slick body with a roasted flavor and a sour dough touch. Later earthy twig and cocoa roast in the finish. Simple, but solid.

Blankboys bottle. Deep dark brown, small pancake head. Aroma: Slightly nutty, milky, slight smoke aroma too. Flavour: Enjoyable blend of cream and smoke - could easily drink quite a few of these.
