Schwarzbier (shvahrts-beer) is German for "black-beer". Brewed to be a light bodied dark beer with a clean, crisp, refreshing finish. Its well balanced malt character is complimented with a touch of roastiness. Brewed using imported black patent malt and noble hops. Pairs with chunky dark breads, marinated meats such as brisket or German Sauerbraten. Not recommended for cellaring. Serve in a flute or pilsner glass at 45-50deg

Aroma of malts, toasted malt, nuts, and some smoke. The appearance is a red brown, tan head, very attractive. The flavor is malty, nutty, brown sugar, toffee. Te finish is sweet, with some mild hop bittering. Decent beer.

The flavour is light sweet, light to medium bitter and light sourish. Tones of roast, coffee, dark bread, light caramel and hints of plums. Grassy and light herbal hops in the background. Blankboys bottle. Deep dark brown, small pancake head. Aroma: Slightly nutty, milky, slight smoke aroma too. Flavour: Enjoyable blend of cream and smoke - could easily drink quite a few of these.

Pours a thin dark brown with a beige head. A bit of chocolate malts, fruits, brown sugar, molasses, ad roasted malt in the aroma. Medium body. Flavor is of chocolate malts, light molasses, subtle smoke, roasted malt. Smooth finish. Real nice beer and a killer value at four and a quarter for a bomber.
