Chugged on camera after 50 pushups @ home for RBSH. I’m a loser. Pale golden pour with a white head and lots of fizz. Nose is grainy and bland, pretty watery. Corn and slight vegetables. Tastes mostly like seltzer water. Some hints of grain and corn, grass, and a touch of vegetables.

Has a light golden color, very carbonated. Smell is mild, some corn. Taste is weak, beer flavored water. Overall not much enjoyment from this beer.

Can into Lost Abbey stemware. First NA tick in a long while. Pours with a clear, somewhat surprisingly deep yellow to golden hued body with a equally surprising, decent white head that even leaves a bit of lace. Maybe it isn’t as adjunct laden as some others. Aromas appear to back it up as all malt, bready, grainy, mild DMS, some sugary melon notes, bready. Light yeast esters that are odd for a lager, no sulfur though. No hops to speak of on the nose. Not horrible on the flavors, but not good: bready, malty, saw dust, uric acid, DMS and quite a bit of husky tannin. Saw dust. Thin and watery with a carbonic bite. Mild cardboard. Honestly, not nearly as bad as expected. Seems to be all malt (granted cheap, husky 6 row). No hop flavors detected. Light salinity. Watery and husky overall.

Can graciously bonused by Brigadier...thanks Nathan! - Well if this is Penn’s Best, I’d hate to see Penn’s Worst...zing! Seriously though, this wasn’t the abortion that I thought it’d be. It tastes like mineral water with a bit of malty sweetness and a pleasant metallic finish. That’s about it. I have a hard time rating this as a beer because there are barely any discernible beery qualities here. Oh well...at least it doesn’t taste like wolf pussy.

12 ounce can
This might be the cheapest beer I have ever purchased. At $2.49 for a six pack it was picked up for one reason only - that elusive non-alcoholic tick. However because it lacks any flavor or alcohol it could also be a good alternative to water. You’d have a hard time getting intoxicated after even a case though your taste buds might revolt.
Aroma / Appearance - Fizzy golden fluid pours more like ginger ale than beer. Minimal white head attempts to provide some contrast. Watered down soda, faint hops from the third runnings of an IPA, and a vague sweetness make this hard to pin down. Even so it is better than many of the Eastern European pale lagers.
Flavor / Palate - Sour apple cider tickles the tongue and throat. A watery finish like soda water is flavorless. One sip is all you need to figure out that beers like this should not exist. Given the choice I would rather drink flavored water or something else. If you are desperate for that tick and don’t want to sink to a macro try it. Otherwise save your $2.49 for a bottle from a local.

12 ounce can shared by Butters at Butters Slutfest 2.0, Richmond, VA, 4.23.11. Pours clear... almost colorless. Medium sized creamy head. Decent head retention and lacing. Faint aroma of creamed grain. Does that make any sense? The taste is sweet and grainy. Thin bodied. Not good, but not offensive.

I have to laugh. What are you looking for a Oak aged flavor or added malt and hops? This is a NA grade the beer as such. Yes the beer is light as it should. The beer was dry crisp and had some light malting. There is very little to the hops this is a light ale brewed to not have alcohol just a light over big produced beer taste. They do a good job.
