Strong citrusy hop aroma on opening. Pours a light yellow with thin head and low carbonation. Taste was light, strong hop bitterness. Enjoyable.

Very disappointing. I bought a bottle of this thinking "maybe Penpont have made a beer that will impress me!" and the description on the bottle sounds promissing, mentioning Cascade, Motueka and First Gold hops to give it a "fantastic tropical fruit and citrus hop flavour". In reality You get a murky beer that isn’t special in the least, instead it is grassy hops, straw and sulfur with a bitter taste. I don’t think I will buy again.

330 ml bottle. Thanks a lot tiong.
Pours a golden colour with a small white head. Aroma of strong sulfur, grass and some herbal notes.. Actually has some elements that can be found from that smoke after blowing up fireworks. Flavour of grainy malts, some weak fruitiness, herbs, off-flavours and hay. Light bodied, watery mouthfeel and low carbonation. Weak.

33 cl bottle. Thanks a lot tiong!
Pours clear golden color with a small head. Aroma has some hops, grass, herbal and floral notes and some perfume (in a bad way). Flavor of sweet malts, fruits, some wood and resin. Mild bitter sweet palate, fruity finish. Has some odd off-flavors. Not very pleasant.

Bottle 500ml.

Clear medium to dark yellow colour with a small to average, open and fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, pale malt, moderate hoppy, fruity, old hops. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, fruity, caramel, malty, feels a bit lazy and flat and not crisp. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130629]
