3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Standard Market. Slightly hazy amber color under a thin. lacy head. Citrsuy hop nose. Taste is very hop forward, with a strong bitterness more like an Anchor Steam. Bitter aftertaste with just a hint of grapefruit at the back of the palate. The lighter alcohol lets it go down nice and easy, and leave just a hint of Belgian aromatic pale malts at the end.

Bottle and served in my Penrose snifter: While you can still get the Belgian yeast characteristics there is a nice resiny and citric hop tone to both the nose and palate. Lively fizzy carbonation adds to the drinkability ... Damn near sessionable Yummy

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle. Pours a hazy muted orange-tan with a big, steady, foamy vanilla head. Pleasant citrus tinged Belgian yeast aroma. A pretty solid BPA, approaching BIPA. Captures the style well...at least an American Belgian Pale Ale. The are pronounced and have some nice depth, from tropical to pine. Solid.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle. Never got around to trying this on tap yet so picked up a 4pack... Pours a haze orangey brown hue and topped with a fluffy white head... Aroma immediately hits with Belgian yeast phenols, clovey and bananas, and accentuated with a fair amount of citrus. Tropical fruits seem absent for the most part which I was looking forward to most. A touch of herbal ness on the backend...flavors are more of the same: Belgian yeast, citrus, pale bready malts and a form bitterness throughout. Hops come more to the forefront in the flavor and that bitterness lingers on. Lighter than medium bodied, easy drinking, with lively carbonation.

Slightly fruity pale ale. More like a belgium trippel this one is not my favorite style. Pours deep orange in color and has a bitter finish. Ha at home.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I would call this Belgian IPA, probably. It is not quite as strong as a typical IPA but the flavor profile is the same. It is a nice clear beer, w/ a foamy head that leaves behind a bunch of lace on the side of the glass. The nose on this is excellent: vibrant, fruity and expressive. There is a good dose of clovey spice to go along w/ the grapefruit and mandarin hop character and it really fits together quite well. The flavor profile is about the same. It is just a little sweet which along w/ fine carbonation helps lend it a juicy character. Generally for this kind of thing I prefer low bitterness to allow the yeast to shine but this has quite a firm resinous, earthy bitterness to it and it still works because it is done in such a way that it highlights the grapefruit aromas. It finishes w/ a touch of honey-like floral sweetness and some lingering bitterness. I have not heard of this new Illinois brewer until I saw their bottles on store shelves but based on this I am definitely excited to try more. It is a nice and not over-the-top twist on the standard flagship hoppy pale ale that most breweries tend to have in their roster.

12oz pour at ACRE. Hazy dark straw brownish pour with off-white head. The aroma is bready, citric, and the flavor is bready malt mixed with some citrus and spicy notes. Medium palate.

On draft at the tap room. Pours a hazed amber orange with a medium white head. Aroma of pine, resin, belgian esters and floral notes. Flavor is bitter with medium sweet belgian yeast notes. Well balanced, lots of tropical fruit notes. Medium bodied, lively carbonation. A nice belgian pale.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Enjoyed on tap at Emporium Arcade in Chicago, IL while watching a Star Wars marathon. It's just decent. Appearance is a cloudy gold with a nice white head that laces to the glass. Aroma of light spice and tropical fruit, definitely smells like a Belgian ale. Taste finishes bitter with a moderate tart, more complex fruity elements in the flavor. The more I drink the better it gets.

On tap at John’s Restaurant & Tavern in Winfield, IL., and dispensed to a shaker, showing a cloudy, orange color, with a presentable layer of white head foam, and wavy lacing. The nose was light Belgian yeast, and esters that were grapefruit, orange, and tropical. A little less than medium bodied, with decent spritz to the carbonation, the taste offered touches of spice & sweetness, dryness, and moderate bitterness that was rind-like and lingering. Tasty, and crisp finishing.
