2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
on tap @ Pensacola Bay / FL --- Clear dark amber, foamy beige head, strings of lace. Taste is watery caramel malt moving to a big carbonation burst on the swallow, then mild hops into a short finish. Nothing wrong here, just not enough of everything. Kinda like a Beck’s Dark.

Rated from notes taken 28 Dec 2012 -- This growler sat in my parents fridge, sealed for 3 months before I could get my hands on it. It held up incredibly well. Translucent copper color malty scent. Great doppelbock flavors and finish.

On tap at the brewery. Pretty nice, although there’s minimal belgian or german features (my notes?). Surprising amount of sweet chocolate reminds me more of a mild brown ale.
