COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Under the glow of a bright harvest moon, Tristan DeLuna discovered Pensacola. It’s too bad we weren’t around or he could have celebrated his discovery with the cool flavor of the Extra Pale Ale that bears his name. Life must have been hard for those early settlers... If you walk along the Gulf’s edge during a full moon with a pint of the Extra Pale Ale, you might hear the voices from a few centuries ago, wishing for a sip. Don’t worry, we won’t tell if you keep it all for yourself. Can you imagine living through a Florida summer without a refreshing pint from time to time? We can’t either. Whether you’re trying to warm yourself up or cool yourself down, sail under the moonlight with our DeLuna Extra Pale Ale.

Not much of a pale ale, very weak on the hops. Flavor reminds me more of a blonde. Meh.

On tap at the brewery. Nose is light citrus and grain. Yellow pour. White head. Light hoppy citrus notes accompanied by grain and bready malts are what this was about. Not bad. Note: This was listed as DeLuna German Style Kolsch on their website and their taproom list but It’s the same beer.

On draft at Pensacola Bay. Pours a clear gold with a white head. Nose is some light biscuit, honey, crisp yeast, and hints of mild grassy bitterness. Flavor follows: light malt, lingering honey, and mild yeast. Light in body and a nice beer overall.

Gold pour, white head. Lots of pale malt and light hops, some biscuity notes. Flavor is crisp and a bit dry, crackery malts and light grassy hops.

This beer is missing some hop bitterness and aroma. Banana notes and grassy notes most prevalent in the taste as well as the nose. Moderate carbonation. Once in a lifetime was plenty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap. Golden with no real head. Smells wheaty and peachy. Not sweet, a little dry with a hint of hops, tad grainy. Moderate carbonation, light dry finish.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a slightly couldy canary yellow with standard white head. Aroma is light of grains and lemon. Surprisingly low on hops. In fact, banana is the predominant flavor. Somewhat bland. I must say it’s my least favorite offering from my hometown brewery so far.

11/28/10. Growler thanks to Aloysius! Slightly cloudy yellow pour with a small fluffy white head that’s gone fast. Mild pale malt aroma with hints of lemon peel and hints of banana. Sweet chalky, malty flavor again with some lemon peel and a hint of cooked banana again. Hmmm...
