COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Seasonal - Winter.
The very deep red, practically black stout has a huge list of ingredients, include Crystal, pale and black malts, torrefied flake barley and Soveriegn, Northdown, Fuggles and Amarillo hops. It’s left in cask for three months before it goes out to the drinking public.

Third of a pint from cask at GBBF. So good I had to get another and share it. Black with a big foamy tan head. Aroma is nice chocolatey, liquorice, neopolitan icecream. Body is medium, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is chocolate, soft malts, neopolitan icecream, a little buttery, finishes with an ashy bitterness. Really good. My first beer from this brewery and an excellent first impression.

Cask conditioned at Oxford Beer festival ’14. Virtually Black with cream head. Rich, deeply roasted malts, sweet, sticky liquorice flavours, fruity, fructose notes, good palate, plummy notes on the finish. Very decent and Sandra’s favourite beer of this festival.
