COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American Style Double India Pale Ale with a “punch in the face” hop flavor. We used American base malt with a small addition of Caramalt to give this a golden hue. Hop Killa is made with an aggressive use of Columbus hops, a high alpha hop with a full flavor profile, and Centennial hops, a citrusy hop with notes of grapefruit. Hop Killa is extremely hoppy and higher in alcohol than a typical IPA. This is a limited small batch release. Look for this beer during late February.

Hops abound. Lasting bitterness in this one. Damn good but not the best. I’d like to try more Peoples. =)

I don’t think my rating for this is as high as Space Cowboy, but this is very close in comparison. An excellent DIPA that is very balanced. I hope to get an entire pint sometime soon.

Draft. Tangerine malt and orange peel aroma. Amber with moderate head. Sweet orange, caramel malt and strong bitter orange peel hops finish. Nicely blended. Nice beer.

Hoppy but not overly so. Smooth with hints of grapefruit tones A great DIPA and a great big brother to their Moundbuilder IPA.

Draft at Dicky’s....pours a brownish-Orange with tremendous head and retention. Nose is actually pretty tame, notes of citrus and a bit of pine are present to compliment some bready malts and a bit of burnt caramel. Full body...flavors consist of some Orange slices, pineapple, caramel and finishes on a crazy-ass sticky bitter note.

On tap at Chumleys. I didn’t think it was much hoppier than their other IPA , and certainly not a double IPA. Nice honey color, slightly cloudy. Some fruit notes and OK as IPA.

tap at the brewery - 104 IBUs per the brewery. Pours amber-orange and has a hop aroma with notes of grapefruit and grass. The flavor, as expected is full of hops and the citrus comes through well. It’s medium to full bodied. Naturally with that much hops the bitterness lingers and it’s very tasty.

I really like this beer. Amber pour with an aroma full of hops. Flavor is crisp and clean with a smooth hoppy finish. Definitely my favorite of their beers.
