3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 ounce can
Initially I picked this up because of the novel can design which peels off to form an aluminum container for future beers. The quality of the beer was an added bonus. I wish more microbreweries would can this way to make tailgates more enjoyable.
Aroma / Appearance - Caramel brown liquid pours lightly into a shaker. An ochre head builds quickly if dumped aggressively. Warm melons, grapefruit, and resin float into the air with a bright resiny aspect. The effect reminds me of a malt driven English style IPA.
Flavor / Palate - Clean bitterness tickles the palate. Caramel, resin, and grapefruit scour the tongue clean. Orange peels carry into a sticky dry finish. I think I will try to share the rest with other local beer lovers while they retain that fresh nature. You too should grab some while passing through Indiana.

12 ounce can compliments of Trent!
A cloudy orange rusty look to it with a big head of creamy, vs, billowy foam. Great lacing.
The nose is big on grapefruit and pine. Somewhere, deep down, I get hints of some malt character.
Well, the malt showed up in the taste with a nice smooth bite(haha) of caramel. It goes beautifully with the aggressive pine and grapefruit. This *almost* tastes like a 2 or 3 year old Bigfoot. Donít laugh.
The body here is pretty big; another resemblance to the beer I mentioned above.
Well, Iím pretty damned impressed with this IPA. Very damned impressed!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice attention to citrus hop aroma. Thank you. Head is thin and quickly fades. Taste is slight hops with a prominent bitterness. Bitterness builds but so does sweetness. Both are forefront. Overall a decent beer for a hop head who likes bitterness and pine with a sweet ending mouthfeel.

Can. Lovely deep red-orange hue with a light golden head. Lightly toasty malts and piney hops, with a nod toward malty dominance without being overly sweet. Assertively bitter finish. Very good.

12 oz. bottle shared by DrSilverworm - thanks, Chris! Pours a clear amber with a smaller off-white head that lasts as a decent-sized ring. Lots of malt in this one - caramel, toast, biscuit - along with some piney, resinous hops. Faint spice, some sugars. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a malty, resinous mouthfeel. Not my favorite style of IPA - the English brand - but itís good and balanced.

12oz bottle, from Big Red in Indianapolis, I believe. Shared with phaleslu. Mostly clear red color. Thin off-white head, leaves decent bits of lace. Good toasty, vanilla malt flavor, kind of biscuity. Some pine, light spiciness, resiny hop. Nice bigger bitterness. Light sweet. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, crisp, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Pretty tasty, well-balanced, satisfying IPA. Enjoyed it more than I expected to.

2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
A - Golden, slight head that dissipates quickly with a little lacing
S - American hops. Grapefruit and citrus.
T - Not much malt to back up the hops. I love hops, but thatís all this is.
M - This is where this beer fails. Way too watery for the style. This may be good if it had any malt backbone to support the hops.
D - Light body would make putting down several of these easy, but why bother when itís at the low end of taste for an IPA.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle from Big Red Liquors in Carmel, Indiana. Strong, dank earthy aroma mixed with molasses sweetness. Hazy pumpkin orange color with a nice thin layer of foam. That strong earthiness follows with a citrus pith bitter bite into the taste with a slight mushroomy vegetality. A good caramel and corn syrup sweetness helps balance out this bitterness, but it ultimately sticks to the tongue and coats it, outlasting everything else. The bottle says 88 IBUs and I believe it, but the balance of hop flavors I like just isnít here. Itís too overwhelmingly body hops and not enough aroma. Still an interesting IPA.

Pours a darker amber with a thin creamy head that dissipates within a few minutes. Carbonated slightly higher than usual. Aroma is a pleasant balance of malt and hops, with the expected hops notes of an IPA. Well-tasting malt with hops chasing close behind. Pleasant fresh hops aftertaste with a slightly sticky mouthfeel. Very good, very drinkable IPA.

Not very well balanced, a little too sweet, I would say, although this was not a terribly memorable beer so itís hard to say.
