COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American Brown Ale.
"That’s Mr. Brown too you!” We used a lot of base malt and four different dark malts in this beer resulting in a complex malt character and a warming alcohol flavor. This is a great cold weather beer, warming and smooth to take away the chill. We balanced it with Kent Goldings hops.

Pours deep deep brown or almost deep red with a very small light brown head. Flowery hops, roasted malts, chocolate, bread, caramel and toffee aromas. Flavor is coffee, chocolate, mild caramels, toffee, bready malts with some light biscuity and/or toasted notes again with flowery and almost some very light citrus notes and some fruitiness. Medium dry finish with medium light bitterness to balance. Medium light body for what I was expecting from a 7% brown. Liked it but could have used some more body and richer, thicker feel and flavor.

12oz bottle. Poured dark brown with tan colored carbonated head lots of bubbles. Aroma I get a mild roasted malt scent along with some bitter either from coffee or chocolate. The flavor is of a deeper richer roasted malt. There is bitterness about half way thru the mouth feel. This is a medium tonight bodied beer. For brown ale not to bad.

Really a very remarkable brown ale. Stronger than normal and heavier in flavors. Has a roast and chocolate quality more akin to a stout than what is found in most brown ales. Very nice!

Pours deep dark brown to black with a thin mocha head. Nose is toast, some chocolate, some earthy grassy hop notes, perhaps a bit of tree bark. Taste is fairly sweet but there’s some bitterness to balance: it’s really quite well balanced overall. Palate is definitely medium bodied, pretty rich but not too heavy, maybe a touch oily, with a pleasant toasty finish. A nice brew, one to sip on and enjoy but smooth enough to knock back if that’s your thing. Good stuff.

Pours clear brown with a tight and perfect nitro head. Aroma is nuts, toast, caramel. Taste is nutty caramel, cocoa, toasty finish, definetly some Goldings hops for sweetness. Body is medium, creamy, long nutty finish. Overall, an enjoyable brew.

From Growler. Pours, well, brown. Relatively little head. Faint nose of coffee and malt. Roasted flavors blend with bitter hops and warm malt. Decent amount of carbonation with a lingering warmth and bitterness. Very respectable beer from a young brewery.

Bottle. Pours a ruby color with little head. Aroma of chocolate and roasted malts. Decent balance finish with slight bitterness. Higher abv than most browns I'm accustomed to but no complaint. It warmed me on a cold Early March night! ----Hophaze out

A - Chocolate color with a tan head that dissipates quickly. S - Again chocolate with some caramel notes. T - A lot hoppier than most browns. Has a slightly sweet taste upfront and then the bitterness from the hops follows. Good tint of alcohol throughout. M - A bit lighter than similar beer in this style, but still has a bit of bready thickness to it. D - Browns aren’t my normal style, but this beer went down incredibly smooth. Would’ve gladly had another if I didn’t have to drive later.

Slight caramel, chocolate, and nuts in the aroma that rises off the small tan head that rests atop a dark brown ale. The taste is sweet followed by an earthy bitterness, very well balanced. An enjoyable brown ale, but not really worthy of four-pack treatment.
