Traditionally brewed in Germany as a l strong lager for the cold weather, our Dopplebock is sure to fortify you against the early winter chills. Brewed with special malts entirely produced by the German maltster Weyermann, fermented with a German lager yeast strain, and balanced with just enough German Magnum hops, the velvety texture of this brew will have you asking for another.

On tap at the brewpub. I was impressed with this. There was some very nice malty complex, paired with a snappy and relatively clean lagering. A nip of heat was an added element. Mid-colored, so not chocolatey, but not pale, with more of the toast, nut, and light caramels. Decent.
