Jun 20, 2008 Bottle from Whole Foods, Hadley, MA. Nice dark brown body with thin line of head. A very smoky nose. Taste of coffee and chocolate, as well as some oatmeal. A very creamy, filling beer. Better than I had expeced.

Nov 19, 2007 Light brown pour with an average head. Sweet notes in the aroma that are more prevalent than the underlying coffee notes. Strong coffee flavor. Mouthfeel is a bit thin. Good beer, not great. As this one warmed, I got some diacetyl in the aroma that grew more pronounced.

Nov 18, 2007 Pours a one finger light brown head that fades slowly to a ring leaving no lace. Totally black color. Light carbonation and medium-heavy bodied. Nose is roasted coffee. Flavor is an almost sweet roasted coffee with hints of burnt coffee at finish. $4.35 for a 22 oz bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma.

Oct 1, 2007 Bottle courtesy of Sammy: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a nice foamy head with some good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of dry coffee is dominating. Taste is a mix between some dry coffee with some light roasted bitter malt. Body is about average with some good carbonation. Well done apart from the fact that it might be a bit too dry.
