2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20 gilvanblight (679) - Windsor, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 30, 2013
Hazy dark brown pour with almost no head. Sweet malty caramel smell. Has that slightly burnt taste I’ve found in other brown ales. Not a big fan of that. Thick and rich. Very different from the cream ale. This ones a bit much to
Me.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 GuillaumeCL (309) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 2, 2013
Pours a hazy brown with a bit of off-white head. Smell is fruity and malty and has a bit of floral hops. Palate is on the lighter side of medium bodied and has good carbonation. Taste is slightly sweet and spicy, then gives way to a slightly bitter aftertaste. Pretty good!

On tap at the bistro. Very light aroma with similar yeast as the other beers. Not too much to it at all. Not as dark as I thought.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 ontbeermaker (1832) - Ontario, CANADA - APR 24, 2011
Probably the lightest tasting brown ale I have ever had. It was not very thick and it was a clear brown colour, minimal darkness to it. small notes of dark malts, light chocolate flavour. Overall not too interesting

many pints on tap at the brewpub. very dark brown with a light tan head. choclate malt aroma. the flavour is mostly malt but the hops creep into the finish. this drinks more like a mild ale then a brown. good stuff, id have it anytime.

On tap @ the Bistro. Pours brown with a tan head. Light aroma of chocolate, and some sweet and roasted malt. Decent flavor, at 4% it is light and easy to drink. Plain brown ale...need some banana flavor in there to call it the Monkey Brown.

Clear dark warm brown with no lace. Malty aroma yields subtle berries. Soft carbonation. Real roasty chocolate malts in a clean and solid body. Sessionable.

At the brewpub. Dark brown, still head. Nice roasty aroma. Good malty, roasty taste. Easily the most flavourful beer I had there, a great brown ale and one I would session frequently if local.

[1557-20080801] Tap. Roasted mocha bread aroma. Clear, dark brown amber body with a medium-lasting creamy light tan head. Flavour has a little sour roast and some coffee hints. Medium-full body. Not very monkey-ish but nice and mild.

draught. copper-brown coloured body, small white head. malty, caramel aroma. sweet malty flavour without a whole lot of complexity. body is a little bit thin and watery. Not bad.
