Keg at Torst - Brooklyn, NYC. Pours clear, deep gold with a fine, creamy white head. Plenty of Belgian yeast in the nose with bits of grapefruit and melon. Medium to big sweet flavor, nice and rich but still somewhat dry citrus, mostly melon and grapefruit, a bit of booze kick. Medium to full bodied with fine, frothy carbonation. Mild warmth to finish, some pale bread, Belgian yeast, a bit of white sugar, ripening melon and citrus. Pretty tasty.

hazy yellow loads of dry hopping. Simcoe? This is a pine tree of hops. Like I’m literally smelling a grapefruit and pine needles. taste is nice. pretty malty with loads of pine just more than you really need in a beer. I like it but couldn’t drink a glass of this.

Draft from the taproom. Yep, that is Simcoe, alright. Big fruity nose; lots of mango and peach and papaya and even a hint of pineapple on top of resiny citrus. Taste adds more resin. Sticky palate. Hoptastic.

Pours milky yellow with a white head. The aroma has funky, dank and tropical hops. There is nice thick caramel to balance. This doesn’t have as heavy of a Belgian character as most of this ilk. It has medium / full body with fairly soft carbonation. The flavor starts with the aroma hops along with some earth and spice. The finish shows a touch of the Belgian notes and some warming alcohol. Pretty nice.
