3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Shared a bottle of this at the Swamp Head Batch 600 release. Pours pitch black and thick with a small brown head on top. Looks very rich and chocolate. Smells very rich and chocolatey, with notes of roast and mint mixed in nicely. The mint is present but not overpowering. The flavor is surprisingly good. Thick and rich chocolate, just a hint of roasty stout goodness, and an accent of light pepper mint that cleans out the palate. The mint is very slight and not overpowering and integrated very nicely. Iím told the bottles vary in terms of their mint level, but this seemed right on. Nice body on this with medium plus carbonation for the style. Really nice actually.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared by an anonymous guy at a tasting. Opaque with a lasting film of cream on top. Smell was mint with some semi-sweet chocolate. Tastes of the same with a touch of caramel. Medium-heavy body has a smooth medium carbonation that makes this one a fine dessert beer, even though I donít particularly care for Thin Mints.

Bottle share. Smell is all mint to me. Hints of chocolate maybe. Pretty great aroma. Pours a dark black. Nice tan head. Taste is mint, mint, mint. Chocolate a little bit. It is really good. Really smooth for a 10% beer.

Slightly minty and really chocolately stout. Super easy to drink and pours almost black in color. Had this at world of beer

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle @ RBSG 2014 Grand Tasting. Black in color with a tan head. Smells like mint chocolate chip...which I guess is the point. Toffee, some vanilla, and dark fruit. A bit of brown sugar, too. Flavor is very much like an Andes mint and/or mint chocolate chip. Nice sweetness of fudge, vanilla, and toffee. I guess if you donít like mint then you wonít like it. I thought it was good, though.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
As of June 2014, this is listed as a Winter seasonal but I just tried it at the brewery so who knows what thatís all about. In any case, this pours out with the same black and mostly headless appearance of all Perennialís stouts w/ a similar heavy, creamy texture but this one instead of smelling pretty good, smells like someone mixed coffee and a mint julep. It tastes the same, which is to say this is like brushing your teeth after drinking hot chocolate. I actually really like this flavor combo in life generally but in beer it kind of makes me feel sick to my stomach. I tried this as something of an accident and will do a better job of avoiding it in the future.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Offering shared at RateBeer Grand Tasting 2014 (St. Louis, MO). Pours a nice deep blackish inky pour, dark and deep, rooasty with touches of gentle glow, some roasty brown edges. Aromas are cool and minty, earth and spearmint, touches of gentle roast, toast, cocoa. Initial has a firm silky body, nice roast. Decent roast, a bit of cocoa and nice earthy cool mint. Middle is a bit cool, roasty with cocoa nib, some toast and toffee. Gentle warmth and toastiness, roasty barley and gentle sweetness. Mint and dryness, decent roast on the backend shows some life, thins it out but still silky, smooth overall. Finish is a bit minty, gentle roast and lingering dark malt. Nice.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle - Chocolate and the mint is a little herbal and medicinal. Jet black with a decent head. Dark chocolate and a menthol like mint. Good, but the BA is much better rounded.
