17 is a decadent chocolate stout complimented with a smooth mint finish perfect for winter’s last hurrah. Clocking in at 10% alcohol by volume, it is sure to warm you inside and out.

A very interesting, unique stout. Pours a deep viscous black with a thin tan head. Smells of mints chocolate and a bit of shush a tobacco. Taste is very thick and creamy, with some sweet chocolate upfront, followed by lots of mint and a booziness in the finish. Had in the bottle at Pig and Pickle in Concord.

2015-04-18. Black body with a modest creamy beige head and lace. 3++ Strong aroma of herbal mint character with chocolate notes. Flavour is pretty intense up front, sharp almost minty character. Herbal? (At this point I looked up the beer to confirm what it was) Muted chocolate character is subsumed by the mint. Smooth medium bodied palate, soft carbonation. Lovely base and chocolate accents but the overall balance leans way too far towards the mint for me. Disappointing. On tap at Allen Burger Venture, Buffalo.

On tap at Scion in Silver Spring, MD. Opaque, near black with a brown head excellent lacing. Aroma of chocolate mints, anise, roasted malt, orange and coffee. Taste of chocolate, roasted malt, chocolate mints, vanilla, alcohol, anise and menthol. Full/medium body and medium/low carbonization with a rich, but cooling mouthfeel. I was worried that I would not like the mint, but it worked well here to give a rich, full beer a cooling mouthfeel. The aroma is great, but there is a little more mint and menthol in the flavor than I care for. While the idea of a cooling stout for summer sipping sounds slightly seductive, I've got air conditioning and I'm more than happy to drink heavy stouts in summer. Nevertheless, a quite nice brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours black with brown head. Big mint aroma. Taste is mint with some chocolate. Kinda like chewing mint gum.

Bottle from City Beer. Pours dark brown with a tiny tan head and a strong mint aroma There is a rich chocolate and mint flavor with a little coffee and anise. Complex and tasty, but a little too much mint for me.

Draft. Poured near black with short-lived head. The aroma picked up sweet candied mint, cocoa, and coffee.. Really smelled like candy. The flavor found similar, though fairly cloying with the sweetness.. the mint worked. Heavy-bodied and a bit too sweet.. overall very tasty and interesting.

Well done! Draft at Mikkeller SF. Pours black, with a sticky foamy milk chocolate head that sticks to the glass. Huge aromas peppermint patty, dark chocolate, vanilla. Cooling on the palate, smooth oily stout. Awesome!

On tap at Řl Beercafe. Awesome place. Anyway, big, very thick body. Big notes of chocolate and mint. As it warms, more of the stout flavor comes through, but I actually enjoyed it slightly cooler. Reminded me of an Andes mint. If you like thin mints, you will might like this.

Poured a black color with a tan head, aromas of roast, light chocolate, some fresh mint, with some roast. Flavors matched the aromas light mint in the flavor, a little disappointing with the mint, left me wanting more. Nice chocolate and roast flavors, solid stout.
