Draft from the taproom. Pours black with a rich tan head. Nose is dark chocolate and mint. Taste is big time mint and big time chocolate, but they work so well together. Mint does not come across as sharp or intrusive as it sometimes can. Great beer, especially in 5oz-at-a-time pours.

Bottle: Vintage 2013: Taster: Small brown head. Black beer. Load of herbal tones with an earthy tone, some mint, chocolate and roast... Flavour is more mint than aroma, herbal and earthy timts, some malt roast, chocolate... Aftertaste is bitter, earthy, herbal, spice, mint... Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium to bit fuller bodied.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Countbeer. Opaque pitch black color, average sized brown head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma is horrible: mint, toothpaste. Taste malts, toothpaste, mint, earthy. Some might like this, but I find it absolutely disgusting. Horrible, undrinkable.

750mL bottle, pours a jet black like motor oil with a small dark brown head. Nose brings out loads of mint, some chocolate and roast. Flavour is intense as hell, with roasted malt, loads of mint, and chocolate. Not usually a fan of mint in stouts, but this works really. Palate is thick as fuck - good for small doses. Excellent.

Bottle:   Pitch black, thin to moderate brown head, foamy, a little leggy.   Mint Choc Ice Cream!   Minty start, chocolate, soft sweet roasted malts and graham cracker.   Not as ice cream like on the tongue, but still tasty.   Moderate to full body.   Minty chocolatey finish.   For being 10% its well hidden.   Great nose, fairly good on the tongue.   Its a low hop/bitterness and low roasty Imperial Stout, with some non-traditional flavors that are welcomed.   Pretty damn neat stout.   I bet this would be great with some ice cream!

Bottle thanks to BeBeau. Deep dark pour with tan head, okay retention and lacing. Aroma is basically an Andes mint. Taste ends roasty, bitter and with plenty of alcohol bite, which is in contrast to the sweet Andes expectation. That might be intentional, but this is one expectation I want to be met -- chocolate mint should be sweet, not harsh. Anyway, as it warms and I acclimate (possibly aided by a brownie), and it improves. Or maybe I’m just getting drunk. Whatever the reason, it is redeemed.

Bottle in the back kf the frudge, pours the part with a light khaki head that leaves nice lacing. Nice mint nose. Taste is like thin mint girl scout cookies. Thin light body.
