On tap at Gourmet Haus Staudt in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is mint liqueur, mint chocolate cookies, minor grain alcohol note. Taste is less mint and more of the chocolate cookie which is nice. Much better than expected although the mint note reminded me of mint syrup and less of fresh mint.

75cl bottle. Black with decent brown head. The beer is intensively simple about chocolate and mint. Rich and very... mint chocolate. Mouth feel is thick and creamy. Taste is the same. Sweet and cloying. The finish is biterish like black chocolate aftertaste. Nice but after a glass of It I will have to put some effort to finish the bottle.

minutemat (4452) - Shrewsbury, Shropshire, ENGLAND - OCT 4, 2016
Bottle shared @ MTG II tasting at Rich’s Welfare Pad. Pours black, thin tan head. Aroma is After Eights dark mint chocolate. Taste continues with quite a prominent mint chocolate character, more so than I recall having from any other brewer in fact. Smooth mouthfeel. Rather delicious.

Bottle shared at the midland tasting group. Black beer with small tan head. Aroma of chocolate mint and roast malts. Taste is chocolate, mint and roast malts. Not too overpowered by the mint but still a dominant presence. Good.

Bottle. Aroma of mint, chocolate, vanilla, almond. Pours pitch black with a nice brown head. Lasts well. Taste is like floating After Eight with a bit of coffee roast and bitterness in the aftertaste. Nuances of vanilla too. Full bodied, super silky mouthfeel, oily soft carbonation, roasty finish. This surprised me a lot. Maybe because we Danes love After Eight chocolate mint.

The aroma is full of chocolate, menthol, coffee, caramel, smoke, tar and rope. The color is pitch black with a minimal and brown head. The taste is full of menthol, chocolate, coffee, tar, smoke, caramel, eucalyptus, rope and icing. It’s like drinking After Eight in liquid form. Really delicious. I live After Eight and I love this beer. The finish is also long a minty, just when chewing a bubblegum with a spearmint flavour. Nice!

Pitch black color with brown head. Aroma has intense mint and dark chocolate. Taste is the same, like After Eight chocolate. Heavy body, smooth carbonation. Really good one, fresh and easy to drink.
