Bottle shared by adnielsen. Pours black with minimal head. Aroma is some.cinnamon, peppers and. roasted malts. Flavor was fantastic. Excellent spice from the peppers blends perfectly with the cinnamon and chocolate. Really a nice beer.

Wonderful beer. Light touch of cinnamon gives this a unique twist, and chili adds spice. Thick texture, with lots of poignant roast amplified by spiciness. Pours black with mocha head and lacing. Nearly as good as the barrel-aged version I had a couple weeks ago but for once I must defer to the barrel as being slightly more perfect. Bottle pour at Churchkey’s 5th anniversary.

750. Pours jet black with a dense and creamy burnt tan head that goes away. Big complex roasty sweet nose; dark malt sugars followed by gentle peppery counterpoint followed by dark chocolate. Sticky thick body with soft carb. Very cookie-ish mid palate with caramel and peppers and chocolate all rolling through. Never heavy or cloying or overbearing, but still dessert-y. Lovely complex beer.

At Stephen’s 2nd annual Great American Beer Festival Tasting on 10/1/14. Pours black with a circle of brown bubbles. Aroma is big bold dark overpowering malt, sharp malt in the direction of rubber but not too bad. Taste is kind of rubber, dark sharp roasted malt, but still complex and interesting for a base stout. It is a good drinking beer on its own, but I see a lot of potential in barrel aging.

thought we were getting something akin to Cocoa Mole, which I have thoroughly enjoyed more than once of late...then i looked closer. the cocoa, chillies, cinnamon was the same, but a 10% impy stout? Sweet! wonderful aroma, big chewy smooth body. tons of cocoa with very subtle heat (and a subtle back o the mouth sweetness from the chillies) and a dash of spice. this is an awesome beer! makes me want to try more from them for sure."

Bottle pour at a Damico tasting. Pours a dark black color with caramel colored head. Aroma is intoxicating. Tons of cinnamon, roast, vanilla, chocolate and pepper. Sweet chocolate taste with plenty of cinnamon and a perfect pepper layer. A really good brew.

Bottle thanks to Rob. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong chili and cinnamon with light green pepper. Thick mouthfeel with strong pepper, dark chocolate, cinnamon, spice, booze, lingering light dryness. Very good.
