750 ml Bottle. Pours black with a thick layer of light brown foam. Notes of cinnamon, dark chocolate, chili powder and vanilla in the aroma. Flavor is Mexican chocolate, roasted malt and cinnamon upfront with a bit of dried green chili, vanilla bean and coffee toward the end. The body is sufficiently thick and creamy with soft carbonation and more chocolate and spice in the finish. Mexican Imperial Stout sounds about right. Salud!

This is an exceptional stout. Slightly cinnamon and spicy flavored. Super crushable. Pots black with a reddish head. Had at Kasers beer extravaganza ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at Kiabacca with Linh. Pours a deep nearly black brown body with thin brown lacing. Aroma is cinnamon, rich luscious chocolate, brownie and Christmas cookie. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of pepper, cinnamon and chocolate upfront; followed by graham cracker, cocoa nibs, vanilla and light oak. Absolutely no alcohol character which is impressive considering the 10% abv. Great stout.

Bottled 11/2014 big thanks to my wife for this Christmas present. Pour has a super dark brown bordering on black with a thin coating of dark brown head. Aroma has mild peppers, cinnamon, big malts, some booze, and a coffee chocolate combination thing. Mouth feel is so hefty with heavy oily coating and low side carbonation. Flavor is incredibly rich, big malted core, roast, some bitterness, boozy, chocolate, cinnamon, mild peppers, coffee grinds, and a lingering oily finish. There is some sweetness that balances the big malted bitter side. Spice and pepper give a nice twang and it is powerful enough to be the center piece but is not overdone while playing nicely with the alcohol heat.

Pours jet black with large brown bubbles that linger. Aroma of licorice booze cinnamon and chiles. Taste is sweet upfront followed by cinnamon licorice and chile hear that lingers. Well balanced and complex. High carbonation for style. Thick, viscous mouthfeel - great. Overall excellent. BA version exponentially better but this hold up to hype ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tastes of spice, fig and chocolate and chillies. One of the most interesting beers I have had I a while.

Strong coffee, cacao aromas. Oil black appearance with tall lacy head. Strong coffee, cacao, chili, and alcohol taste, with the chili as the highlight. Not particularly smooth with strong alcohol aftertaste. To strong for me.

Bottle - Lots of chocolate and cinnamon with nutmeg. Deep jet black with a rich brown head. Roast, bitter sweet chocolate, cinnamon and nutty. Kinda like a rich Horchata.

Rich and complex with a definite Mexican cocoa vibe, particularly the aroma. The chilies provide taste but no heat.
