This beer blew my mind. Sweet and bitter chocolate combined with chilli, incredible.

Bottle from a generous trader. Bottled 11/2013. Pours incredibly thick pitch black with a big dark brown head. Aroma of massive chocolates, a hint of spicy pepper, and a bit of cinnamon. Really nice. Flavor is super sweet chocolate, light roast, a bit of cinnamon dryness, with a lingering dry cocoa powder and light chile flavor left on the palate. The heat picks up a tad as I sip and the cinnamon definitely comes out as it warms. Thick bodied with low carbonation, but not as thick as I was expecting after watching the pour. Pretty good stuff with both sweet chocolate and bitter roast shining through here. Hoping to find the BA version someday.

Bomber shared at Folty’s. Rich dark brown pour with minimal head. Chili peppers on the nose. Some chocolate in this. A fair amount of heat on the tongue. Delicious. Some peanut butter element as well.

This is a great beer -- pours a dark black. Aroma of chili and cocoa jump out of glass. The cinnamon is also there. Very unique. Flavor follows through with complex roast and chocolate with the spice from the peppers throughout. Fantastic.

id be curious to try the bourbon barrel variation on this, as while this was good it was nothing astounding.

Bottle sent from Sean. Thanks! A: Black as coal, thin mocha head. Leggy. N: Cocoa, cinnamon, vanilla, cereal. M: Sweet and spicy. A little savory as well. T: Thick. Alcohol is well-hidden. O: Good stuff. Mexican mocha in a glass - up there with Mexican Wedding Cake, IMO.

HMOG 2014. I am quite obviously biased towards Imperial Stouts infused with peppers. Scent is cinnamon, tobacco, and nutmeg. Pours a brackish dark brown color with a big tan head. Carbonation is amped up slightly and appropriately. Fantastic beer. Bottle - Shared at HMOG 2014

HMOG 2014. Well another check box marked here. Cocoa, roast, hint of cinnamon, and lots of vanilla for me. Lots going on. Doesn’t always have to be barrel-aged to be real nice. Although, would love to try that versiona.
