3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
bottle... really great looking beer, super dark black body with an equally dark tan head, good carbonation, just great coloring... on the aroma I get a big initial burst of the cinnamon, a bit of peper and a little chocolate, good but I’m not a big cinnamon fan so its not great for me... the best thing about the tasting experience is the mouthfeel, full and coating, thankfully the cinnamon fades on the taste, as do the peppers, get more nibs and chocolate flavors than anything... solid beer I’d have again

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from a generous trader. Bottled 11/2013. Pours incredibly thick pitch black with a big dark brown head. Aroma of massive chocolates, a hint of spicy pepper, and a bit of cinnamon. Really nice. Flavor is super sweet chocolate, light roast, a bit of cinnamon dryness, with a lingering dry cocoa powder and light chile flavor left on the palate. The heat picks up a tad as I sip and the cinnamon definitely comes out as it warms. Thick bodied with low carbonation, but not as thick as I was expecting after watching the pour. Pretty good stuff with both sweet chocolate and bitter roast shining through here. Hoping to find the BA version someday.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bomber shared at Folty’s. Rich dark brown pour with minimal head. Chili peppers on the nose. Some chocolate in this. A fair amount of heat on the tongue. Delicious. Some peanut butter element as well.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This is a great beer -- pours a dark black. Aroma of chili and cocoa jump out of glass. The cinnamon is also there. Very unique. Flavor follows through with complex roast and chocolate with the spice from the peppers throughout. Fantastic.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
HMOG 2014. I am quite obviously biased towards Imperial Stouts infused with peppers. Scent is cinnamon, tobacco, and nutmeg. Pours a brackish dark brown color with a big tan head. Carbonation is amped up slightly and appropriately. Fantastic beer. Bottle - Shared at HMOG 2014

HMOG 2014. Well another check box marked here. Cocoa, roast, hint of cinnamon, and lots of vanilla for me. Lots going on. Doesn’t always have to be barrel-aged to be real nice. Although, would love to try that versiona.
