3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a light amber color with a finger of eggshell foam. Lots of things work in this beer but overall the parts are greater than the final product. Nice rustic grain, wet hay, straw, some funky brett, barnyard. horsehair and some solid yeast ester, apricot and honey. Something out of balance that keeps me from enjoying this beer as much as I thought I would.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
750ml bottle pours cloudy dark orange with medium fluffy head. Nose is earthy wet hay, bread, and subtle doughy orange fruit. Taste is medium-thick bodied, bready fruit, earthy grains, dough, yeast spice cracker. Finish is dry bready yeasty fruit and spice, and earthy muti grain. Not a ton of brett character.

Taster at the brewery. Pale gold. Very little aroma. Hops upfront with the Brett in the background. Bitter ending. Overall a decent beer.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draft at Eulogy. Very hazy orange amber pour with an overflowing frothy white head. Lots of lace. Line could have been tainted. Starts as a yeasty bready wheat beer but quickly shifts to darker malty notes then shocks with a sharp sourish ascetic finish. Again - could be this particular pour on a tainted line. Feels substantial but not pleasant. Promised sugary notes are drowned in nail polish remover. Horrible. But this is certainly a bad pour.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
750 mL bottle poured into a tulip. The aroma is a funky, potent fruit and butterscotch. It pours a dull, murky copper orange / light caramel color. It’s topped by a big, stable and creamy off-white head. Lots of this creamy head retains, and it leaves a good amount of puffy clouds on the side of the glass. It’s highly sweet, lightly bitter, and has a moderate high sour kick to it. The texture is waxy and slick with a light, soapy carbonation. The medium body finishes with notes of bitter and sour citrus. It has a bit of a cider touch to it too. The aftertaste lingers with sour, tart, dry citrus notes.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle... Clear golden pour with a small, creamy, white head. Great retention. Typical farmhouse, yeast-driven aroma - fruity esters and spicy phenols. Medium to full-bodied with tingly carbonation. Well-balanced, bittersweet flavor – farmhouse fruitiness, spiciness and graininess. Short, crisp, clean finish - no lingering maltiness, spiciness or bitterness. Bottle provided by biggsbowler!

11 July 2014, bottle. Orange, faintly hazy, no bubbles. Nose is funky, sweet candy, slight tart. Thin body and mildly fizzy. Smarties candy, hints of oak, slightly tart. Ok.
