4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle, shared with my lovely wife. Very very dark brown, copper-red highlights. Huge roast on the nose, huge, with sweet undertones but not specifically coconut. The coconut does come through in th palate though, in a natural non-sweet way, like coconut milk. There is a distinct lactic sweetness that smoothes out the hearty robust burnt malt. Quite sweet and chocolatey. Very full bodied, velvety mouthfeel. Just really delicious, a big surprise!

22 ounce bottle poured a black color with aromas of sweet chocolate milk, and some light coconut. Flavors were milk chocolate, and coconut, light on the palate, nice mouthfeel, easy drinker with the abv listed. This is dangerously delicious.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Draft at Pony Bar. Looks like Iím not the only one to stumble on an infected batch of this stuff. Near black with a beige head. Light roasted malts, some odd tart fruitiness, balsamic, and faint dirty tartness in the finish. Not good.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Infected. Nose is roasted chocolate, sour berry and composted earth. The palate follows and isnít horrible.. in fact the flavor is more pleasant than a lot of sour blacks on the market but the beer is ringing as a tart fruity shadow of the big chocolate version it once was. The coconut and chocolate presence is there and gives a glimpse at just how good this beer could have been if not for the introduction of some pedio infection.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A serviceable milk stout, initially with lactose sour edge, balanced by the coconut. Though I am not the biggest fan of coconut, despite recent health claims, this works. So thick milk chocolate. Tough to finish even for two.

This was nasty, smelled and tasted like rotten milk. And I clean enough of that out of my toddlers sippy cups. Could not drink.

2.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Beer pours pitch black with a very thin dark mocha head with poor retention. Lacing is stringy, spotty and sparse with little cling. Thin legs. Average.
Sharing during a cellar stout clean out by my friend.
Pours black with a small off-white head. Decent lacing.
Nose contains lots of coconut and milk chocolate with some roasted malts. Can definitely smell the lactose in this.
Flavor starts with more milk chocolate (chocolate and lactose). Coconut then comes on pretty strong (too strong in my opinion). There is a touch of roasted malt, but not enough to balance out the sweetness. Lots of coconut on the aftertaste.
Lighter bodied for a stout. Finishes sweet and got a little cloying by the bottom of the glass. A little overcarbed.
This one failed for me as a beer. Did not like the coconut interplay and did not contain enough roast to rein in the lactose. It succeeded for me as a way to integrate my 90ís rap playlist into the nightís events so slight bonus for that.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle @ Richardís tasting. Black pour with a tan head. Roast, coconut, and vanilla on the nose. Kind of metallic, some olive, and a bit of tartness. Weird. Flavor starts off with some nice coconut and vanilla notes. Plenty of roast, some chocolate, and olives. Metallic finish. Kind of acidic.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
Pours deep black with creamy head. Nose is very sweet cocoa, almost syrupy. Taste is thick but very, very sweet and the almost a spoiled milk taste. Over powered the beer. Might have been a bad batch.
