Has the most unusual aroma with a spice and rosemary combination. Dark red amber color and a honey rosemary hop flavor. An odd and unusual beer.

Glass at Perennial during my BA Abraxas pickup stop. Had this with a Stacked burger. Call the color copper and that is close enough. A little foam. This drinks like a holiday ale meets barleywine. A lot going on here. Spice notes including cinnamon, some fruit including citrus and raisins, some harshness and alcohol. Nothing shy here.

Bottle. Burnt orange, quite active, thin but staying head. There’s a strong and powering honey-sugar stop to this. The rosemary herbals carry to the palate as well, making this taste like a holiday hen. Crafty, to be sure ... may be too assertive for some ... including me. (#5484, 4/10/2014)

Pours thick amber with a nice beige head. Aroma has hints of rosemary, alcohol and dark fruits. Flavor is a bit boozy but overall pretty good Belgian winter beer.

750 ml bottle from jckp64- thanks again, John! Pours a hazy amber with a beige head. Really big aroma. Notes of winter spices - and the rosemary paired with the sweetness here suggests nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon. Caramel, honey, mixed fruits - namely raisins, obviously - and sugars. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, spicy mouthfeel. Nice winter Belgian ale.

Slightly hazy darkish amber-brown, with a fast fading head. Nose is kinda brown sugary and sweet with a mild touch of winter spice. Flavor is big and smooth and sweet with a sherry and Christmas herbal tone, some light brown sugar poinsettia, earthy toffee, and a gentle brown sugary note. Very lovely, smooth, delicious and a touch boozy

Bottle. Pours lightly hazy tawny with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is rosemary, biscuit and honey malt with pear esters, earthy and spicy hops. Flavor is spices, rosemary, cookie malt, light hops and bitterness with a sweet finish. Medium body and carbonation.

750 ml bottle to taster (shared by phaleslu). Looks good; copper with ample foamy light beige head. Smells of Belgian yeast, citrus, and spices. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

Well, another Perennial beer I like here. Pours clear copper with a beige head. The aroma has lots of spice, floral notes, herbs, licorice, mintiness and savory rosemary jumps out. It has a medium / full smooth lush body that is velvety and has a low amount of carbonation. The flavor starts out with smooth caramel, earthy Belgian yeast, dry rosemary, pepper raisins and alcohol warmth. The finish has more warmth, but it fits well and doesn’t burn. There is also herbal notes, green tea and a leafiness. Really enjoyable.
