Draft at Jerry’s. Amber with big, foamy, off-white head / Mild nose of wheat, spun sugar, and alcohol / Medium body, sweet, hoppy with big bitter, and somewhat hot, finish / Somewhat thin, bitter, lightly floral flavors of honey, grain, and dry hops / Mediocre, and not at all in character for a barley wine.

Moderate to heavy smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sweet flavor to medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met with a complex beer.

750mL bottle, sent from tstockstrom (thanks Chuck) and coryking (thanks Cory). Pours a hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, candied sugar, some white chocolate, toasted nuts and boozy liqueur. Flavour is light on the tongue but very alcoholic, with lots of booze, some candied sugar, paint thinner and feint licorice. Extremely boozy and paint thinner-like, with high carbonation. Way off the mark here.
