3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 wedgie9 (1596) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 21, 2012Tasted on 9/21/12 from a capped 750mL bottle brought to me by a friend, big thanks to Ken. Pours hazy but bright orange with a very thick white head that slowly recedes to thick, rocky lace. The nose is earthy malt and spicy Belgian yeast with some nice green hops aroma as well. The flavor is a bit more malt forward with caramelized orange peel coming through nicely, some earthy flavors, and plenty of spicy yeast. It is very dry. The body is light with lively, stinging carbonation, and a long, very dry, spicy yeast, and earthy finish.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 notalush (4208) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUN 9, 2013
Hazy orange pour with a frothy, well-sustained head - nose of spicy and citric American hops, lightly musty yeast, earthy malt, tangy citrus - smells more like an American IPA than a Belgian ale, but still nice - full, frothy carbonation in the mouth - flavor is medium dry, with crackery malts, crisp hop bitterness - a bit of earthiness, metallic notes, dusty/basement yeast late, followed by lingering, lightly sweet orange zest and a light herbal note - it’s a good beer, but not for the price - nice to try a Perennial brew, though.

Bottle from a trade with AlexFields, thank you sir! Pours a clear golden with a fair white head. Aroma is hoppy and quite a typical belgian (fruity, spices). Taste is medium sweet with a nice and soft bitterness. It isn’t described as a Belgian IPA because it isn’t but it’s a really nice and hoppy belgian ale!
