Draft at Jerry’s. Clear red-amber with good, creamy, beige head / Sweet, clean nose of maple, toast, squash, and citrus / Medium body, creamy and lush, sweet but with good hop balance, and some bitterness in the finish / Flavors of maple syrup, sweet squash, grapefruit, toast, cinnamon, and nutmeg / Very creative, and quite good. Squash surprisingly discernable.

750 ml bottle shared by Cory, who hand-labeled this one he was calling "Bottle #1"- thanks a ton, Cory! Pours a rich brown-amber color with a small off-white head. Great aroma of clove, cinnamon, toasted malts, nuts, and what seems like nutmeg and brown sugar, even though they didn’t add any. The flavor is so well balanced, with the American brown ale maltiness, nuttiness, and toastiness, and the cinnamon and clove spice. The squash is present in both aroma and flavor but so subtle. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a smooth, balanced, beautiful mouthfeel. The ratings for the tap version are solid but I’m wondering if this one works better in the bottle because I thought it was awesome (and I’m not just kissing ass because Cory was there).

Bottle shared by Cory. Pours dark amber with an off white head. Aroma is caramel malts, light spices, toast and cinnamon. Flavor is clove, cinnamon, toast, nutty and malty. Its hard to pick up the squash, but its there. Medium to light bodied with moderate carbonation. Has a nice smooth and balanced finish.

Pour is a clear brown with a small white head. Aroma is an intense cinnamon and clove. This smells just like fresh baked apple pie. Flavor is some more cinnamon and spice but I do detect a nice squash flavor in there as well. This was a very tasty beer but also one of those beers that you love but I don’t know If i could drink too much of this in one sitting. It is a cinnamon and spice bomb.

Bottle shared amongst friends. Well it’s a little late in the season for a "pumpkin style" beer but I love em so whatever. Not really too much pumpkin here but a good amount of maple and brown sugar flavors happening. Really tasty.

Capped 750 from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours very, very dark amber/brown with a creamy/bubbly beige head. The primary aroma is pumpkin pie spice. Squash seems to be buried in all that. Med body. The cinnamon is very strong. Don’t know if the squash roasting did much for flavor, but maybe. Might be the best seasonal so far.

Tap at Cicero’s in STL. Snifter poured with a thick head and an autumnal brown color. Nose is very fragrant with what I though was flowers at first. But if really is a sweet squash. Has a slightly slick mouthfeel but not heavy. Its sweet but not with residual sugars, a well developed brown sugar sweetness without the sugariness. Goes down easy. Its a sweet beer but in a good manner; novel and atypical for sure.
