COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by the rustic farmhouse-style Saisons of Southern Belgium, Regalia is brewed with barley, wheat and spelt and fermented with Brettanomyces Bruxellensis and Brettanomyces Anomala. A sturdy malt character supports the complex array of flavors that the yeast provides, and will continue to develop over time.

Serving: Bottle. It pours a light amber color with a rocky white head. Great nose full of hay, dusty yeast, and a slight coriander note. The flavor has a touch of malt backbone with plenty of barnyard character and light fruitiness. Very nice texture too. Solid stuff.

Draft pour at DryHop. Cloudy dark orange pour with a thin ring of white head. Sweet fruity orange and lemon aroma. Big full Belgium and strong alcohol taste. Pretty good and not a huge fan of this style

Draft... RBSG 2014… Pours hazy and dirty-orange with a small creamy white head. Good retention. The nose is a yeast-driven mélange of esters and phenols - peach, pear, farmhouse spiciness and anise. Full-bodied and milky with tingly carbonation. The yeast-driven flavor duplicates the nose, except it supplies even more phenolic, farmhouse, clove-like spiciness. Spice-rack aftertaste as well. Pretty good, and thoughtfully crafted, but these farmhouse/saison phenol bombs are not my thing.

Flavors of caramel, yeast, light fruitiness and light barnyard funk with a smooth dry lingering caramel finish.

Bottle. Bountiful pour of opaque golden-orange topped by some big, rolling piles of white foam. There is but a hint of yeasty funk in the aroma, otherwise it seems quite tranquil. The beers flavors are in line with tradition ... light esthers, tropical fruit, under-baked bread. Even keeled and easy to drink for an 8.5% beer, and worth the price. (#5573, 7/7/2014)
