Bottle purchased in Portland and consumed in Serbia. Dark brown/black color, dark brown foam lowering super fast. Nose: coffee brandy, alcohol, zabaione. Mouth: mild coffee start, soft body far from being rich, some frizzy/pepper palate, coffee brandy, sourish (unexpected) finish, ash, cherries. Mmmmm. Maybe a "strange" bottle? Label says bottled Jan 2016 consume within 60 days. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at The Hop. Pours a deep black with a thin tan head. Big roast and cocoa on the nose, chocolate and sweet malt and bean paste, soft coffee. Long roast, warm alcohol, chewy. Big alcohol soaked chocolate mousse, faint coffee. Delicious, but a very slow sipper. Lingering bean paste, chocolate, roast and faint and fruit coffee. Big, boozy, beautiful.

Drank during the american beer tasting at Marks place 23-4-2016. Good stout, lots of coffee in the smell but taste is quite soft and complex. Good.

Bottle at tasting. Black pour. Aroma of strong espresso, earthy coffee bean and creamy roast. Rich taste of espresso, roasted malt, creamy cacao and a long more bitter finish. Great.

Pours black, with almost no head. Stumptown is in the smell, nice lingering roast, cream, and a bit of cardboard. Taste is of creamy sweet coffee, and a bit of roast. The mouthfeel is light, almost no carbonation, feels a bit of watery. Good beer and easy to drink but needs more of a kick.

Back Log. On draft at The Beer store. Vanilla and roast are the main ingredients that pop out. The finish is chocolate, toffee oats and coffee. Nice.

750 mL bottle shared with Gus and ebone1988. 2014 vintage. The pour is a nice medium black with a thin dark khaki colored head that fizzles out quickly. Leaving only a thin collar. The aroma is a little off. There is a distinct old coffee and a light chocolate. Iím getting a little bready male and a light cardboard to it. Itís not too shabby, but Iíd hoped for so much more. The flavor is just as disappointing. There is a light coffee presence thatís a little weird and lightly acidic. It finishes out with a nice bitter dark chocolate note mixed with some sweet malts. The mouth feel is lighter with a softer carbonation and a lingeringly metallic coffee and lighter dark chocolate finish. Itís not bad by any means, but I need to drink this one fresh next time
