4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught at both Harry’s Hofbrua in Redwood City and Ale Arsenal. Love this beer both times I had it with massive coffee that blends nicely with the base Imperial Stout. So complex and evolving as it warmed. Black with chocolate head.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma coffee, roasty,
Appearance black, tan foam,
Taste medium sweetness, medium bitterness,
Palate medium body, full body,
Overall no doubt this is a coffee stout. Full coffee flavor from beginning to end. The alcohol is very well hidden. Definitely a beer that I would suggest to a friend.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours black with a quickly dissipating tan head. Aromas of coffee cake, roast coffee, espresso. Taste is bitter coffee fading to a more mild malty sweetness; faint notes of char and chocolate are also present. Another solid Perennial offering.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft to snifter at Perennial. Looks good; a fairly opaque dull black with darker beige head. Smells of loads of coffee and roast up front with notes of dark malt and bitter chocolate in the background. Tastes like it smells with a medium full-bodied mouthfeel that’s fairly bitter from the roast. Good, not great.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle purchased in Portland and consumed in Serbia. Dark brown/black color, dark brown foam lowering super fast. Nose: coffee brandy, alcohol, zabaione. Mouth: mild coffee start, soft body far from being rich, some frizzy/pepper palate, coffee brandy, sourish (unexpected) finish, ash, cherries. Mmmmm. Maybe a "strange" bottle? Label says bottled Jan 2016 consume within 60 days. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
