Almost as good as BCS coffee stout, and that's high praise. Perennial is blowing up. I can't wait to see what they come up with next.

Pours a deep viscous burnt umber color with a finger of dark khaki foam. Big roasty nose laced with fresh green coffee, some dark fruit and a hint of spicy green pepper. Palate follows with nice rich mouthfeel and layers of fresh coffee notes that work nicely with the deep dark bakers cocoa, brownie batter and some nice spicy dark fruit that ebbs and flows within the darkness. Solid offering !

Dark. Lots of coffee. Great smell, and I have a poor sense of smell.. Subtle hints of mocha. Very solid coffee stout.

Bottle from Berkeley Bowl West. Pours dark brown with a huge tan head and a chocolate and coffee aroma. There is a very rich chocolate and dark molasses flavor with a heavy dose of great coffee. Very well crafted.

Blind bottle thanks to Dustin. My favorite of the blind imperial stouts. Dark thick pour, creamy khaki head. Aroma explodes with coffee. Smooth, chocolatey, rich. Taste also brings chili pepper spice at the back.

Bottle. Pours oily pitch black with a very thin ring of mocha head. Aroma is sweet and vegetal with coffee grinds and cherry cordial. Taste is huge coffee with some fudge and marshmallow. Delicious. Medium body and little carb. Incredible.

Strong dark roast coffee, wormwood, and prune. Black pour, medium dark brown head. Prune base dominate by strong coffee, very subtle fudge note. Strong, bitter, and earthy. Mossy finish. Medium body, soft carbonation. Very intense, not quaffable at all. Great if you like coffee like I do.

Outstanding brew. Pours jet black with thin khaki head. Aroma is very coffee forward with hints of raisin and dried cherries. Taste is coffee followed by dark chocolate and dried dark fruit. Thick mouthfeel. Very well balanced. Amazing beer. Want more! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3/15/15. 750mL bottle thanks to ygtbsm! Black pour with a nice tan head, good lacing. Drank this while super hungover since rdixon77 came over. It was damn good, though! Big coffee aroma, some caramel and cream, fudginess. Nice flavor, plenty of coffee, fudge, caramel, cream. Tasty!
