Almost as good as BCS coffee stout, and that's high praise. Perennial is blowing up. I can't wait to see what they come up with next.

Dark black pour. Off white to tan head. Dissolves quickly into nice carbonation. Roast cedar flavor. Mild roast bitterness with thick mouthfeel.

This poured a ln almost jet black.color.with a tan head. Aroma was of.tons.of.dark.coffee, some green pepper, dark.chocolate and roasted malt. Flavor was tons of coffee, but not really acrid at all, some green.pepper though, roasted malt, and dark.chocolate. Body OS.immaculate.

Bottle, Boise imperial stout tasting. Deep brown with a small tan head. Aroma just fills the air with fresh coffee and espresso… some chocolate and roast. Very rich. Quality of the coffee shows in the taste where it remains the focal point. Good heavy roast, great coffee taste, and minimal cocoa. Smooth and creamy. Really really nice.

Another Free Beer Week bottle from Keir, thanks!!! As a coffee lover, this beer knocked it out of the park! This review could probably just read "COFFEE!!" and I would be done with it...but, I will elaborate: Pours a pitch black with a thin mocha colored head that rises to a cap before fading to a ring. Nice legs on this one too. Aromas are loaded with coffee, coffee and more coffee! Some notes of dark fruit, roasted nuts and tobacco. Taste is incredibly smooth. Nice full mouth feel never gets too chewy. Great harmony of flavors keep a sweet profile, but never gets cloying. Coffee bitterness shifts to earthy tobacco note with a roasted finish. No detectable alcohol sting. Like silk.

750ml bottle pours out black topped with a tan ring of ahead. Nose is roast malts chocolate coffee vanilla molasses and a nice sweetness. Taste is as the nose with a nice molasses sweetness roast malts chocolate and some coffee.

The strongest site of this beer - it’s mouth feel. It’s just so thick, so dense. It stays so long in the mouth. Perfect.

Dark black viscous pour, thick mocha colored head. Strong coffee and chocolate in the aroma. Flavor has some sweet licorice, espresso notes, plenty of chocolate goodness. Thank to drowland who brought this to Proof tasting.

Earthy, coffeeish aroma. Leggy pour with no head. Wine bottle. Almost peppery tones over coffee, cocoa and dirt. Sweetish. Thanks to Dr. Drowland, upon his doctoral defense celebration with PorterPounder.
