Collaboration with Hopleaf! We started by brewing a traditional German Berlinerweiss—which Napolean’s men called the Champagne of the North—then tweaked it with a homemade tea blend to impart a slight apricot hue and botanical aromatics.

Draft at Rustico Alexandria. Poured a slightly hazy amber color with a HUGE white head. Aroma was light grain, with a little bit of tea. Flavor was notes of light grain, tea, with notes of light tartness. Nice tart finish. Pretty easy to drink.

Grabbed a Growler to take home from stags head since on baby duty for USA v Belgium match, also this is 2k so happy days. Pour light grapefruit color with small sudsy head. Nose is citrus and kombucha. Tastes of peach, apricot, hibiscus, nice steeped tea notes, and lemony wheat. Tart and refreshing and sessionable. Perfect Growler for 80+ degree weather while partaking in infant care.

Bottle poured a peach golden color with a one finger white head that fell back to a ring on the glass. Aroma has herbal tea, papaya, tart Berliner wheat, and berry seeds. Mouth feel is light and the carbonation average but it fell off quickly once in the glass. Flavor has a fair bit of tartness, seedy fruit, wheat, and tea.

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2014 June 29, 2014. On tap at Mekong, Richmond. Pours a hazy translucent fluorescent orange with minimal head, no lacing. Aroma is fecal matter. Seriously. And some other tart characteristics. Flavor is intensely mouth puckering and quenching as the acidic vinegar dries the mouth. Amazing. Update July 10, 2014: on tap at Whole Foods. More transparent, less fecal aroma, more tea leaf prominence in flavor. Lemony citrus tart finish.

murky peach, tepid top with thin white ring. Cereal grains nose, high lactic acidity, gravel esters. Lower lactic front is muted by heavy vitamin c, tons of peach, and zesty carbonation. The grainy mid brings lingering bitterness and heavy co2 influence through faintly rubbery end, a super long cereal finish with lactic influence. Soft and balanced despite off notes, carbonation elevates body though too dominant for softer profile.
