Collaboration with Hopleaf! We started by brewing a traditional German Berlinerweiss—which Napolean’s men called the Champagne of the North—then tweaked it with a homemade tea blend to impart a slight apricot hue and botanical aromatics.

Draft from the taproom. Hazy, slightly orange-tinted light gold pour. Nose of lemony wheat and tropical fruits. Taste adds a lovely tartness and a bit of a tea-like quality. Wish I would have had about 4 pints of this wonderfully refreshing beer.

Draft at SB. Pours a cloudy medium orange with a loose and fizzy whitish head that goes away. Mild mango and apricot nose. Creamy medium body with bright lively carb. Mango and apricots on the mid palate. Refreshing and light, but very subdued in the flavors and aromatics.

This light orange colored beer has an aroma of fresh apricot. A mildly tart flavor definitely has an apricot flavor too. Very unique and a great session beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at The Trappist. Pours orange copper with a rich beige head and a fruity aroma. There is a slightly sour wheat flavor with a hint of tea. Easy to drink if you like sour.

Draft to wine glass at Perennial’s Third Anniversary Party. Looks good; a slightly hazy orange with eggshell head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells like odd candy with a floral presence. Slightly bitter. Tastes citrusy, but unbalanced, with a below average mouthfeel. Not my thing.

Serving: from tap at The Beer Junction. Aroma: Appearance: very small, white initial head with no lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Hazy, orange/pink body. Taste: lightly sour initial flavor and lightly sour tea-like finish with short duration. Palate: light body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Overall: very good.

Tap at Mikkeller Bar. Clear golden with a small white head. Floral and earthy tea and hop aromas. Nice flavor with sweet caramel and tea with honey and a hoppy finish. Smooth on the mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Drinkable.

On tap at Birch Bar Norfolk, VA for Zwanze ’14, pours cloudy pale orange with 2 finger head. Nose is fruity tropical tea, mango, peach, kumquat, slight tartness and soggy grain. Taste is similar with a definite tea influence, low tart, some pleasant tropical fruit notes and light citrus mix with restrained grainy malt. Finish is low tartness, round herbal fruity melon, mango, peach, various fruits and some notes of stonefruit. Simple but nice.

Bottle from unknown via Justin D. Pours a slightly cloudy orange straw, decent amount of head, yeast and fruity qualities to aroma. Body very lively an dry, lots of fruit at finish. Medium tart, very light. Decent but not amazing.
