Sampled at the Midwest Belgian Beer Fest 2012 - Pours lightly hazy yellow with a white head. The aroma has lots of ginger, pale malt and light earthiness. Medium body with mild nice semi-soft carbonation. The flavor starts with lots of ginger, some spices, hops, lemon peel and light Belgian fruitiness. The finish is tart and refreshing. Very nicely done.

Draft sample at MWBBF. Pours a hazy yellow-gold with a small white head. The aroma is led by ginger but has plenty of sourness; lemon, lactic acid, pale malts, straw, and pepper. The flavor is mostly the same, a good dose of ginger, with a lot of lemon tartness, yogurt, dry grains, and straw. Light-medium bodied, with medium carbonation and a crisp, fresh, sour, tart, and spicy mouthfeel. Complex and tasty. Really well-done ginger beer that doesn’t go overboard like the ones I’ve had from Shiner or Dux de Lux.
