The aroma has rich maltiness, fruity Belgian yeastiness, light notes of the pluots and banana esters. While the descriptors make this sound sweet it seems modest in that department. Medium / full body that is lush with gentle frothy carbonation that does wonders to distribute the taste throughout the mouth. The flavor begins with the pluot taste. While it is in the front it is still subtle. There is some pale malt, pepper, light sweetness and belgian yeastiness that isn’t as fruity as normal for a tripel. The finish ups the spice and shows some hoppiness and then there is a lingering taste of the pluots. The higher alcohol is nowhere to be found and this is a winner in subtlety in a beer. I think I have probably rated a couple beers from Perennial higher in the numbers, but I think this is probably the best made beer I’ve had from them. Excellent.

Love this one. Wasn’t a huge fan when it was first released but somehow the pluot notes have gotten stronger and really shine on a very delicate beer. Very tasty.

750 ml. bottle. Thanks Ken! Pours a cloudy golden orange with a very nice biege head. Aroma of malt, fruit, and florals. Taste is plums, apricots (pluots), malt, florals, and spices. Very nice. Very interesting.

Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, pale malt, moderate hoppy, flowers, plum, light earthy. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, riped fruit, earthy, plum - dried fruit, yeast -sulfur.
