Draft... RBSG 2014... Pours cloudy and peach-colored with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. The aroma is fruity and spicy - clove, coriander and tangerines. Full bodied with a buttery mouthfeel and stinging carbonation. The flavor is balanced nicely between sweet fuzzy fruits and bitter minerals. Fruity, minerally, warming finale. Drinks like a much lower abv beer. Finally, someone stateside brews a decent, non barrel-aged tripel.

On tap at Old town Paradiso. Pours a hazy deep golden/orange with a pillowy white head that fades quickly to edge. Aroma is sweet Belgian yeast, honey, apple, and slight oak complexity. Flavor is same, though the alcohol isn’t well masked; 10 is high for tripel. Sweet fruity finish.

Taste at the brewery during RBSG. Hazy golden orange color. Thin white head. Some rows of lace. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Lightly slick texture. Nice fruity lightly spicy belgian yeast aroma. Light to moderate spicy taste. Moderate sweet. Solid belgian ale.

Draft on tap at the brewery (St. Louis, MO). RBSG 2014 Friday Bus Tour. Pours a golden orange hue, a firmer haziness, a touch darker with frothy offwhite layer that sticks around, laces ok as a thicker ring and mellow ring. Aromas are a bit sweet, bready with biscuit, honey and apple. A bit sweeter with gentle earthiness, florals and a touch of yeast. Initial is a bit sweet, decent yeast and more muted, touches of bread, straw earthy gentle hops and spicy yeast. Middle is a bit sweet, yeasty with some flaked wheat, fermented honey and gentle earth. Backend is a bit spuicy, yeasty with some earth. A bit sweet, spicy and warm as we finish. The honey gives a neat earthy, spicy feel. Ok.
